Expanding international career opportunities for K25 students through the Japanese-Vietnamese bilingual program at VKU

In the context of increasingly deep international integration, the demand for high-quality human resources in information technology, particularly for the Japanese market, continues to grow significantly. To provide students with opportunities to access an international learning and working environment, Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology, the University of Da Nang (VKU), in collaboration with NiX Education Joint Stock Company, organized a recruitment seminar for the Japanese-Vietnamese Bilingual Program for K25 students. The seminar not only provided comprehensive information about the program’s training orientation but also offered practical insights into future career opportunities at Japanese enterprises.

Overview of the seminar

Attending the seminar were Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho – Vice Rector of the university, Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Phuong – Director of Training at NiX Education Joint Stock Company, along with many lecturers and a large number of K25 students interested in the program.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho expressed his appreciation for the effective and sustainable cooperation between VKU and NiX Education in developing and expanding the training partnership aimed at preparing high-quality human resources for the Japanese market. He emphasized that the first cohort of students participating in the program achieved an almost 100% employment rate at Japanese enterprises, clearly demonstrating the effectiveness of the training model that integrates both technical expertise and foreign language proficiency. From 2026 onward, the program will be expanded to include Computer Engineering Technology in addition to Information Technology and Semiconductor Circuit Design, meeting the increasing recruitment demands of the international labor market. With the core objective of creating sustainable career opportunities, clear future orientation, and adaptability in international working environments, VKU is committed to supporting students through flexible major transitions and internship opportunities at Japanese corporate offices located directly on campus from their second year of study.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Phuong provided detailed information about the training orientation, curriculum structure, and learning and career development pathways for students participating in the Japanese-Vietnamese bilingual Program. In addition to highlighting the advantages of the enterprise-oriented training model, she also openly discussed the requirements and challenges students may face in adapting to an international learning and working environment. Furthermore, detailed guidance on admission requirements, application procedures, and registration methods was introduced, helping students better prepare for their academic and career decisions.

The seminar atmosphere became more engaging through panel discussions, interactive activities, and direct Q&A sessions between K25 students and senior students who have experienced studying, interning, and working at Japanese companies.
