Speaking at the program, Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho – Vice Rector of VKU emphasized that, in the context of digital transformation and artificial intelligence profoundly changing all areas of life, students’ career choices need to be placed in correlation with long-term social development trends and labor market demands. Fields such as artificial intelligence, digital technology, semiconductor chip design, e-commerce, and financial technology are becoming new growth engines, opening up many high-quality job opportunities, but simultaneously setting increasingly high requirements for the capacity, skills, and adaptability of learners. With a development orientation following the digital university model, VKU constantly innovates its training programs toward modernity, updating advanced technologies, and strengthening connections with businesses and the internationalization of the learning environment. The university aims to train a generation of students who are not only professionally skilled but also possess foreign language proficiency, digital skills, innovative thinking, and the integration courage to become global citizens capable of adapting to and leading change in the digital era.

One of the central and most impactful contents of the program was the thematic talk show “Career Choices in the Digital Era and Artificial Intelligence” featuring experts, managers, and representatives from technology enterprises. The talk show was designed in an open, interactive format, focusing on practical issues of concern to students. The speakers provided deep analysis of the impact of digital technology and artificial intelligence on career structures, emphasizing that AI does not completely replace humans but will reshape the value of labor, requiring young people to continuously learn, upgrade their skills, and adapt flexibly.

Additionally, experts shared insights on how to balance opportunities and challenges in the digital environment; key “foundations” that help young people develop sustainably, such as self-study capacity, critical thinking, communication skills, and self-management. Several social issues were also raised, such as the impact of social media and digital connectivity on the mental health of youth, recommending that students know how to balance the virtual world with real-life values, build sustainable relationships, and develop a comprehensive personality.

Notably, the talk show also provided a practical perspective from businesses regarding human resource needs in the context of international integration, especially in dynamic markets like Japan and South Korea. These are markets currently “thirsty” for high-quality human resources in the fields of information technology and digital engineering, opening many attractive career opportunities for Vietnamese students. Through this, students gained a stronger basis for orienting their choice of majors, aligned with the actual needs of domestic and international labor markets.

Many experiential activities taking place during the program

Moving beyond just providing information, the program was designed with a multi-dimensional experiential approach, helping students access reality in an intuitive and vivid way. Activities such as Robocar competitions, visits to technology booths, Virtual Reality (VR) experiences, interaction with game products, and exploring Japanese–Korean culture provided an open learning space, stimulating students’ creativity and passion for technology. This was a key highlight, contributing to narrowing the gap between theory and practice and helping students clearly visualize their future learning and working environments.

Furthermore, the program organized networking activities, mini-games, and lucky draws, creating a close and friendly atmosphere while strengthening the connection between students and VKU lecturers and students. The harmonious combination of academic content and experiential activities helped the program serve not only as an orientation but also as a powerful inspiration for students in discovering themselves and choosing a suitable development path.

VKU awarding scholarships and financial support to high school students

A highlight of profound humanitarian significance in the program was the awarding of scholarships and financial support for students. In 2026, VKU allocated a fund of up to 1 billion VND to implement scholarship programs and support students in the Central – Central Highlands regions, particularly those in difficult circumstances who demonstrate great effort in their studies. This is not only practical material support but also a significant spiritual encouragement, demonstrating the university’s social responsibility and commitment to accompanying the younger generation.

Through the career orientation program in Hue, VKU continues to affirm its pioneering role in connecting education with practice, contributing to improving the quality of human resources in the digital age. With a sustainable development strategy that links training with social needs and global technology trends, VKU constantly strives to build a modern, dynamic, and internationally integrated learning environment, creating the best conditions for students to develop comprehensively.

The success of the program at Hai Ba Trung High School is not only a major milestone in the series of 2026 enrollment counseling activities but also contributes to spreading the image of VKU – a leading public university in the field of digital technology and digital economy, always accompanying students on the journey of choosing a career and creating a future in the era of artificial intelligence.
