On July 23, 2026, Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), The University of Danang, in collaboration with NiX Education, organized a specialized seminar titled “Developing Global Digital Human Resources Through Japanese Language Education”. The program served as a connecting forum between the university, enterprises, and international organizations to share trends and solutions for training high-quality human resources, promoting an educational model linked to professional reality, and meeting the requirements of digital transformation and international integration.

Overview of the seminar

Attending the seminar were Mr. Miyamoto Tomoya, representative of the Japan Foundation (JF) Office in Da Nang; representatives from Soka University along with Japanese enterprises such as ALTIMA, NecScat, DST Solutions, and xR&D Technologies. From NiX Education, there were Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia – General Director, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Phuong – In charge of Japanese Language Education. From VKU, there were Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho – Vice Rector, leaders of various units, lecturers, and a large number of students from the Japanese – Vietnamese bilingual program.

At the opening ceremony of the seminar, Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho – Vice Rector of VKU affirmed that the university always remains steadfast in its goal of building a digital university oriented toward innovation and international integration, in which training linked with the practical needs of enterprises and the labor market is one of the strategic priorities. Along with promoting bilingual and international training programs, VKU focuses on cultivating a global mindset, the capability to work in a multicultural environment, and the ability to adapt to the rapid changes of the artificial intelligence and digital transformation era for students. The cooperation model between VKU and NiX Education serves as a prime example of the effective connection between the university and enterprises. Through the companionship of Japanese partners, students gain access to real-world projects, participate in internship programs, and have job opportunities right during their studies. At the same time, enterprises directly participate in the training process, contributing to updating the curriculum to match the practical requirements of the international labor market. The university expects that the cooperative relationship among VKU, NiX Education, and the Japan Foundation will continue to expand, making positive contributions to the training of high-quality human resources for Vietnam.

Representing JF, Mr. Miyamoto shared that learning Japanese needs to be closely linked with information technology expertise and the practical working environment through On-the-Job Training (OJT) programs at enterprises. At the same time, he also shared Japan’s human resource development philosophy, regarding investment in people as the foundation for individuals and organizations to develop sustainably together, in which foreign language learning should be nurtured by passion, curiosity, and an exploratory spirit alongside its professional application value.

Sharing at the program, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia – General Director of NiX Education stated that since 2022, the entity has oriented the construction of an ecosystem connecting enterprises, the university, and students to create a sustainable environment for learning, practice, and career development. In addition, the RAS system (Labo Service) was introduced as a modern internship management model, creating a mechanism for regular coordination, evaluation, and dialogue between lecturers and enterprises to improve training quality.

Within the framework of the seminar, in-depth specialized topics and two panel discussion sessions brought many practical perspectives on the global digital human resources training model in the context of globalization. Speakers shared integrated training methods combining information technology, Japanese language, and enterprise internship programs; career orientation for students; experiences in implementing learning projects following the Project-Based Learning (PBL) model; as well as requirements regarding language competence, business mindset, and working skills that Japanese enterprises are seeking in human resources within the digital transformation field.

Ribbon-cutting ceremony inaugurating AltimaLab at VKU

One of the important highlights of the program was the inauguration ceremony of AltimaLab at VKU. This is a research and practical collaboration space built with the companionship of ALTIMA Company to research human capacity development, while creating an effective connection environment between VKU students and Japanese enterprises. The representative of ALTIMA stated that the Lab not only aims to research communication methods and human resource development, but also expects to become a new cooperation model between enterprises and educational institutions in training global human resources. At the ceremony, delegates performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony and toured the physical facilities of AltimaLab in the VJIT area.

Through the seminar, VKU continues to affirm its training orientation linked with enterprises and international integration, continuously expanding its network of cooperation with educational organizations, enterprises, and Japanese partners to build a modern, practical learning environment, creating conditions for students to comprehensively develop professional competence, foreign languages, and career skills. In the coming time, alongside AltimaLab, new labs such as B-mark and Futureize are expected to continue to be deployed, contributing to expanding the cooperation ecosystem between the university and enterprises, enhancing training and research quality, thereby training high-quality digital human resources to meet the development requirements of Vietnam and the global labor market.
