On June 13, 2026, Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Danang, successfully organized the Running and Pickleball Competitions in celebration of the 2026 Workers’ Health Day, hosted by the University Trade Union. The event served as a meaningful activity to promote physical exercise and sports participation, enhance physical and mental well-being, and strengthen connections and interactions among staff members, lecturers, and employees across the University.

The Event Kicked Off with an Enthusiastic Running Competition

Nearly 150 competitors, including staff members, lecturers, and employees from various units within the University, participated in the event and competed in two sports: Running and Pickleball. Demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, fairness, and sportsmanship, the participants delivered exciting, competitive, and inspiring performances throughout the day.

Notably, the Pickleball Competitions featured two competition categories—Newbie and Advanced—designed to accommodate competitors of different skill levels. Nearly 100 matches were held across men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles events, creating an energetic and vibrant atmosphere while further promoting sports and fitness activities among the University’s staff and lecturers.

A Dynamic Pickleball competition for All Skill Levels

At the conclusion of the event, the Organizing Committee presented a total of 33 awards to recognize and honor outstanding individual competitors and doubles teams who achieved excellent results in both the Running and Pickleball competitions.

The event was not only a meaningful sporting activity that contributed to improving the physical and mental well-being of staff, lecturers, and employees, but also reflected VKU’s commitment to fostering a dynamic, healthy, and happy working environment. Through this initiative, VKU continues to promote a healthy lifestyle and productive work culture while strengthening solidarity and cohesion among members of the VKU family, contributing to the development of a modern, human-centered, and sustainable educational environment.
