“Build with AI” is a global technology event series launched in 2024, which has quickly gained strong momentum across countries such as Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. In Da Nang, the program made a remarkable impression from its first edition, attracting a large number of developers and tech students, and fostering a vibrant AI learning and sharing community. Its return at VKU once again highlighted the strong appeal and growth potential of the local technology ecosystem.
Under the theme “Fuel the Future,” this year’s program focused on the in-depth exploration of advanced AI technologies within Google’s ecosystem, including Gemini, Google AI Studio, and emerging platforms such as Antigravity. Beyond theoretical sharing sessions (techtalks), the workshop featured intensive hands-on activities (codelabs), enabling participants to directly build and deploy AI models under the guidance of leading experts.
A key highlight of the program was the codelab session on developing secure agentic AI systems using Gemini and Safety Guardrails. This highly practical content helped participants better understand modern AI system design principles, ensuring security and reliability in real-world applications. In addition, interactive technology challenges such as “Vibecode with Antigravity” enhanced creativity, engagement, and learning motivation among participants.

Distinguished speakers gather at the event
The event brought together many reputable speakers from the technology community, including Google Developer Experts in Machine Learning, founders, and technical specialists from GDG Cloud Da Nang and tech enterprises. With the support of experienced facilitators, participants not only received step-by-step guidance during hands-on sessions but also had the opportunity to exchange ideas and learn directly from experts.
Through this program, VKU continues to demonstrate its practice-oriented training approach, with a strong focus on developing students’ competencies in emerging technologies, especially artificial intelligence—one of the key pillars of digital transformation. At the same time, the event contributed to strengthening connections between the University, industry, and the technology community, thereby fostering innovation and developing high-quality human resources for the Central and Central Highlands region.
More than just a specialized workshop, “Build with AI 2026 – Fuel the Future” also served as a bridge for VKU students and the local tech community to expand professional networks, access career opportunities, and engage more deeply in international-scale technology activities. This is also a clear testament to VKU’s strategic vision in building a modern, globally integrated, and innovation-driven learning environment, further reinforcing its position as a leading university in the field of information and communication technology in Vietnam.
