CITA 2026: Honoring Four International Keynote Speakers – Pioneering Perspectives Shaping the Future of Digital Technologies

As part of the 15th Conference on Information Technology and its Applications (CITA 2026), the Organizing Committee expresses sincere appreciation to four distinguished keynote speakers from Korea, Germany, China, and Vietnam. Their insightful presentations offered significant academic value, highlighted the latest research trends, and inspired new opportunities for international research collaboration in big data, artificial intelligence, computer vision, optimization, and natural language processing.

Prof. Dr. Joshua Zhexue Huang’s Keynote: “Big Data Analytics for Multi-Cloud Data Centers”

Prof. Dr. Joshua Zhexue Huang, an Academician of the Russian Academy of Engineering, is one of the world’s leading researchers in Data Mining and Big Data Analytics. He is currently a Distinguished Professor at Shenzhen University, Founder of the Big Data Institute, and has held several national leadership positions in big data computing research. He has authored more than 400 scientific publications with over 20,000 citations and is the inventor of widely adopted clustering algorithms, including k-modes, fuzzy k-modes, k-prototypes, and w-k-means, which have been extensively applied in both academia and industry. He is also recognized by Stanford University among the world’s top 2% most influential scientists.

In his keynote, “Big Data Analytics for Multi-Cloud Data Centers,” Prof. Huang discussed the challenges of big data analytics across multi-cloud data centers. He introduced LOGO, a distributed computing framework that does not rely on MapReduce, enabling parallel execution of iterative algorithms without data exchange between computing nodes. He also presented the Octopus architecture and system, designed to support scalable and high-performance big data analytics in multi-cloud environments.

Prof. Dr. Kanghyun Jo’s Keynote: “Sensor Fusion based Ambient Understanding for Wider and Unstructured Environment”

Prof. Dr. Kanghyun Jo is a Professor in the Department of Electrical, Electronics and Computer Engineering at the University of Ulsan, South Korea. He is an internationally recognized expert in Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Sensor Fusion, and Digital Twin technologies. He has served in important roles at numerous IEEE international conferences, including ISIE, IECON, ICIT, HSI, and IWIS. His research focuses on autonomous vehicles, smart cities, industrial automation, and real-time AI systems. In his keynote, “Sensor Fusion based Ambient Understanding for Wider and Unstructured Environment,” Prof. Jo presented the latest advances in integrating 4D radar and camera technologies as a cost-effective alternative to conventional LiDAR-based systems. His presentation introduced state-of-the-art approaches to 3D object detection, SLAM, and their applications in autonomous driving, intelligent excavators, smart cities, and Digital Twin systems, demonstrating how sensor fusion can significantly improve environmental perception under challenging conditions.

Prof. Herwig Unger’s Keynote: “Cortical Computing: Hierarchical Sequence Prediction for Explainable Natural Language Processing”

Prof. Herwig Unger of the University of Hagen, Germany, is Head of the Communication Networks Group and a renowned researcher in distributed systems, self-organizing systems, big data, large-scale simulation, and natural language processing. He has published more than 180 scientific papers, authored and edited over 40 books, and has actively collaborated with international academic and industrial partners. In recognition of his outstanding contributions, he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB), Thailand. In his keynote, “Cortical Computing: Hierarchical Sequence Prediction for Explainable Natural Language Processing,” Prof. Unger introduced GraphLearner, a computational model inspired by the memory mechanisms of the human cerebral cortex. Unlike conventional Transformer-based models, GraphLearner enables one-shot learning and provides high interpretability through localized activation and hierarchical sequence construction from characters to semantic representations. This innovative approach opens new directions for Explainable AI and neuroscience-inspired natural language processing.

Prof. Dr. Huynh Thi Thanh Binh’s Keynote: “Evolutionary Multitasking: Recent Advances, Applications, and Open Challenges”

Prof. Dr. Huynh Thi Thanh Binh, from Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), currently serves as Vice Dean of the School of Information and Communication Technology (SoICT), Head of the Optimization Research Group, Chair of the NAFOSTED Information Technology Scientific Council for the 2025–2027 term, and Chair of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society Vietnam Chapter. She is widely recognized as one of the leading experts in Evolutionary Computation, Optimization, and Computational Intelligence, with more than 150 international publications, a member of the editorial boards of several SCI-indexed journals, and a research group ranked among the world’s top seven in Evolutionary Multitasking research. Her keynote, “Evolutionary Multitasking: Recent Advances, Applications, and Open Challenges,” provided a comprehensive overview of evolutionary multitasking, an emerging optimization paradigm that simultaneously solves multiple optimization problems through knowledge sharing among tasks. The presentation discussed unified encoding strategies, adaptive knowledge transfer mechanisms, methods for mitigating negative transfer, practical applications, and major open research challenges in intelligent optimization.
