Accordingly, two students undertaking internships at the Faculty of Computer Engineering and Electronics from April 1 to May 30, 2026, completed their program and returned to Thailand on May 23, 2026, in accordance with the partner university’s schedule. The remaining four students, who conducted their internships at the Faculty of Computer Science from April 6 to June 19, 2026, officially completed their internship program on June 19, 2026.
During their study and research period at VKU, the KMUTNB students actively participated in research groups led by VKU lecturers and worked on a range of projects in advanced technology fields. These included the development of AI-powered financial forecasting systems, digital platforms supporting green consumption and sustainable development, evolutionary optimization methods to ensure fairness in influence maximization problems, applications of Agentic AI and intelligent knowledge-based systems, as well as the research and implementation of early landslide warning systems using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). These research topics are highly applicable and closely aligned with emerging trends in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and technologies for community benefit.
Throughout the internship period, each student received direct academic supervision and research support from VKU lecturers, with outcomes evaluated in accordance with KMUTNB’s training requirements. Notably, VKU’s Buddy Program proved highly effective, with Vietnamese students accompanying and supporting their Thai counterparts in academic activities, research, communication, and daily life. This initiative contributed to creating a friendly, open, and internationally oriented learning environment.
The internship program not only helped KMUTNB students enhance their professional knowledge, research capabilities, teamwork, and communication skills in an international setting, but also provided valuable opportunities for lecturers and students from both universities to strengthen academic exchanges, share experiences, and develop joint research ideas.
