In the afternoon of July 7, 2023, the Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Da Nang held a signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Nam Long Technology Investment Group (NLT Group) to strengthen exchange and cooperation in the fields of research, technology transfer, improving the quality of training and develop human resource for society.

Attending the signing ceremony, on the side of Nam Long Technology Investment Group, there was Dr. Bui Huu Phu – Chairman of the Board; on the VKU side, there was Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Huynh Cong Phap – Rector with the two unit’s leaders.

At the signing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Huynh Cong Phap is pleased to welcome NLT Group’s Board of Directors and members in return to work, more specifically, to sign a memorandum of understanding which has been implemented and built in the past by two sides. The Memorandum of Understanding marks an important development in cooperation and mutual comprehensive support on the basis of linking resources and strengths of each unit.

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Bui Huu Phu affirmed that the cooperation between VKU and NLT Group will open up new opportunities for both sides in the proper and long-term investment in training, science and technology, developing trend major nowadays.

The leaders signed a MoU, agreeing on specific objectives as follows:

1.                 NLT Group supports awarding scholarships to students who learn well and implementing excellent scientific research projects.
2.                 Coordinate to implement and sign contract with scientific and technological research topics, projects focus on the fields of transportation, lighting, oil and gas, environment and smart agriculture, on the 4.0 IoT, AI and GIS technology platforms owned technological products by NLT Group “Made in Vietnam” and “Make by NLT” have been implemented in smart city construction projects, implementing digital transformation for agencies, organizations, schools, corporations and businesses in many provinces and cities in the country.
3.                 NLT Group supports building research and training labs for digital transformation on the basis of high technology 4.0 IoT, AI, GIS, Cloud at the University to serve the training of high-quality human resources to meet the needs of society in the process of digital transformation and building smart cities in Vietnam and in the world.
4.                 Organize workshops and seminars; participate in teaching and training students subjects related to production and business practices so that students are familiar with the job and achieve high efficiency. At the same time, NLT Group will participate and sponsor national and international scientific conferences organized by VKU.
5.                 For VKU students, NLT Group arranges field trips, internships, and graduation projects.

 The Memorandum of Understanding on the basis to develop detailed cooperation plans and exploit effectively the resources and advantages of the two sides to achieve the set goals. At the end of the ceremony, the leaders of the two sides expressed their belief in cooperation, which will be a bridge to promote comprehensive development, bringing the best conditions for students and the University in the future.
