On the afternoon of April 24, 2026, the 14th Da Nang University Student Sports Games officially concluded after more than two weeks of exciting competition. The large-scale event attracted students from member universities, contributing to the promotion of physical training, enhancement of students’ spiritual life, and strengthening of exchange and solidarity across the University of Da Nang.

Overview of the Closing Ceremony

The Closing Ceremony was attended by leaders of the University of Da Nang, representatives of its member universities, and members of the Organizing Committee. Representing the Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho – Vice Rector attended the event along with representatives from various units and a large number of student-athletes.

The VKU delegation participated in the Games with 166 members, including more than 30 coaches and support staff, and 129 outstanding athletes representing nearly 8,000 students of the university. The delegation competed in 7 sports across 10 events, including athletics, men’s and women’s football, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s volleyball, table tennis, badminton, and pickleball.  Competitions took place at the University of Da Nang Sports Center, the Da Nang National Sports Training Center, and sports facilities of member universities from April 10 to April 24, 2026.

With the spirit of “Unity – Honesty – Nobility,” the VKU athletes competed diligently, delivered many exciting matches, and achieved proud results. Overall, VKU ranked 4th, winning a total of 10 medals, including: 2 gold medals (badminton), 5 silver medals (badminton: 1, women’s basketball: 1, pickleball: 2, men’s volleyball: 1), and 3 bronze medals (badminton: 2, athletics: 1).

Notably, VKU continued to demonstrate its strength in several sports, with outstanding performances in badminton, women’s basketball, pickleball, and men’s volleyball. These achievements reflect the team’s determination, unity, and thorough preparation, leaving a strong impression on the student sports movement within the University of Da Nang.
