77 VKU students shined at the National Casting Round of the Reality TV Show “The Moneyverse”
On May 9, 2025, 77 outstanding students of the Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), Danang University officially took part in the Central Region National Casting Round of the reality TV show “The Moneyverse” held at VTV8 studio in Danang city. This is one of the large-scale creative financial, technological and startup playgrounds, attracting the participation of students from 54 universities and academies nationwide.

“The Moneyverse” is a reality TV show organized by VTV Times and The Moneyverse Joint Stock Company, combining financial education with interactive and entertaining Gameshow. With a total prize pool of up to 1 billion VND and career opportunities at prestigious financial institutions such as BIDV and SSI, the program aims to equip students with strong financial literacy, critical thinking skills and startup capability.
A dramatic competition between VKU and DUE
In the Central Region National Casting Round, VKU students faced off in an intensive head-to-head competition against the team from the University of Economics (DUE), University of Danang. With thorough preparation, bravery, and confidence, VKU students made a strong impression in every stage of the competition. In Round 1, “Multiple-Choice Quizzes”, 77 contestants participated in an online test consisting of 10 financial questions, with 20 seconds allotted for each. The results of this round determined the top 3 contestants who advanced to Round 2 – “Challenge of Courage”. Accordingly, three students – Nguyen Bao Gia Han (22IM), Nguyen Cuu Kim Anh (22EF) and Ngo Danh Thai (22GBA) represented VKU in a live debate focused on the topics related to finance, investment and technology. Through three rounds of presenting arguments, engaging in debates and delivering summaries, along with answering challenging questions from the judges, the three VKU students showcased their sharp critical thinking, solid professional knowledge and confident demeanor, highlighting the courage of VKU students in a competitive national competition. Accompanying the VKU team were Dr. Van Hung Trong, MSc. Tran Ngoc Phuong Thao and MSc. Luong Thuy Tien – lecturers from the Faculty of Digital Economics and E-Commerce who directly mentored, trained and inspired the team. The results of the National Casting Round will be announced after May 22, 2025.
