VKU work with Korea Polytechnics
On the afternoon of July 17, 2023, the Department of Science, Technology and Cooperation of the Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Da Nang had a meeting and worked with the Korea Polytechnics – KOPO on the exchange of cooperation in training programs, exchange of the two sides’ activities.

Attending the meeting, on the KOPO side, there was Mr. Lee Seon Woo – Head of Campus Youngju Training; on the VKU side, there was MA. Nguyen Ha Phuong – Deputy Head of Science Technology and Cooperation Department
Speak at the meeting, MA. Nguyen Ha Phuong is pleased to welcome KOPO who have visited and worked at VKU. MA. Nguyen Ha Phuong shared and introduced about VKU, and emphasized the attention, support and active help from the Korean Government through KOICA with ODA projects to develop key areas, strive to make VKU become a high quality and prestige training base, scientific research, technology transfer of the country in the field of information technology, communication and digital economy; become an open connection center to support start-ups, cultural and academic exchanges and other friendly exchange activities between Vietnam and Korea in recent years. With the interest and support of KOICA, VKU has been connected with universities, businesses and organizations from Korea. The University considers these as valuable opportunities, cooperation and development to bring high efficiency and achieve the goals set out on the way to build a prestigious and quality institute in the Central – Central Highlands and across the country.
Delegation from Korea Polytechnics – KOPO
Korea Polytechnics (KOPO) offers a wide range of specialized training in the fields of technology and engineering, including Information Technology, Electronics Technology, aeronautics and space Technology, Environmental Technology, and many others. It has 11 work bases in 34 Korean provinces, including Seoul, Busan, Incheon, Daejeon, Gwangju, and other cities. Each work base has its own specialized training and modern equipment for the learning and research process with the most favorable tuition fees in Korea. Introduced by the headquarter of KOICA in Korea, the delegation reached out to VKU with the desire to learn the scale of training, infrastructure as well as cooperation activities between the business – university to further develop KOPO’s training quality.
MA. Nguyen Ha Phuong introduced information about VKU
At the meeting, Mr. Lee Seon Woo and the delegation were pleased with the close diplomatic relations between the Government of Vietnam and the Republic of Korea, and congratulated VKU for the outstanding achievements that the University has achieved in recent times. Mr. Lee also shared the difficulties of Korean education in general and the challenges of KOPOs enrollment in the context of unemployment and aging population increase in Korea. The delegation expressed thanks for the sharing in enrollment and humanities policies to support learners, and hoped that with the similarity in training fields, the two units could develop exchange and diversified cooperation activities in the near future.
The meeting between the two sides will be a development premise for future cooperation. Through comprehensive mutual support, the University will open up many ideal cooperation opportunities, create breakthroughs in the process of international integration as well as contribute to increasing diplomatic friendship between the two countries Vietnam and South Korea.
