VKU Welcomes Delegation from Ton Duc Thang University within the Framework of Cooperation with The University of Danang
Within the framework of the working program and cooperation agreement between The University of Danang and Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), on the afternoon of March 30, 2026, Vietnam–Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), a member of The University of Danang, had the honor of welcoming and working with the delegation from TDTU during a short but meaningful visit, contributing to the effective implementation of cooperation activities from the university level to member units.

Overview of the working session
The TDTU delegation was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Trong Dao, President of TDTU, along with leaders and experts in education and training, scientific research, quality assurance, and international cooperation. On the VKU side, the delegation was received by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap, Rector of VKU, together with representatives from the Party Committee, Board of Rectors, and leaders of departments, faculties, and centers.

In his remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap extended a warm welcome to the TDTU delegation and provided an overview of VKU. Established in 2020 through the consolidation of IT training units, VKU is oriented toward a digital university model, focusing on key areas such as digital technology and digital economy. The University also emphasizes building a modern learning environment, strengthening links with enterprises, promoting innovation, and enhancing international integration. With a well-structured development strategy, VKU is gradually affirming its position as a reputable higher education institution in the Central and Central Highlands region.
Currently, VKU has nearly 8,000 students and offers 19 academic programs and specializations, with stable admission quality and average entrance scores ranging from 23 to 24 annually. The University prioritizes the development of key fields such as semiconductor microchips, artificial intelligence, and financial technology, contributing to meeting the demand for high-quality human resources in the context of rapid digital transformation.

Representing the delegation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Trong Dao, President of Ton Duc Thang University, expressed his strong impression of the outstanding development achievements of VKU, particularly its flexible, practice-oriented training model and clear international orientation. The two sides also exchanged experiences in implementing high-quality training programs, developing academic staff, and building research and innovation ecosystems within their institutions.
Despite the limited time, the working session recorded many positive outcomes in strengthening connections and expanding cooperation between the two institutions. The visit and working session of the TDTU delegation at VKU marks an important highlight in the series of collaborative activities between The University of Danang and TDTU, demonstrating a proactive, flexible, and effective approach in implementing strategic cooperation agreements. This also provides an opportunity for VKU to further expand its network of partners, enhance the quality of education and research, and contribute to training high-quality human resources to support socio-economic development in the digital era.
