VKU Signs MoU with Vietnam Internet Network Information Center (VNNIC) to Enhance Digital Capabilities and Develop Human Resources in the Internet Sector
On the afternoon of November 27, 2024, the Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), a member of the University of Danang, held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Vietnam Internet Network Information Center (VNNIC). The partnership aims to promote digital capabilities, digital skills, and the development of human resources in the internet sector.

Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), a public university under the University of Danang, was established in 2020 through the merger of constituent units with over 20 years of history. Up to the present time, VKU has nearly 7,000 students enrolled in fields related to information technology, communications, and the digital economy. Its admission results have reflected a strong reputation, with an average entrance score of 24 points across 16 disciplines and majors. Noticeably, in 2024, VKU introduced the Semiconductor Chip Design Engineering program, achieving a top-tier national entrance score of 27 points. As a leading public university, VKU plays a vital role in supplying high-quality human resources for information technology, communications, and the digital economy. The university has actively pioneered the training and development of skilled personnel in strategic industries essential for the growth of Da Nang, Vietnam, and global shifts. VKU has excelled in fields such as semiconductor chip design, artificial intelligence, logistics, and, notably in 2024, Digital Financial Technology (Fintech).
VKU focuses on technology-driven finance (TechFin) education, emphasizing enhanced proficiency in English, Japanese, and Korean, along with fostering adaptability to overcome and lifelong self-learning skills among students.

VKU anticipates that this partnership will expose students to cutting-edge technologies and real-world projects coordinated with VNNIC. Moreover, it seeks to build a robust network of experts connecting organizations domestically and internationally. This collaboration aims not only to propel the training of high-quality human resources but also to elevate VKU’s position as a leading digital university in both the country and the world.

- Enhancing Digital Infrastructure Connectivity: Collaborating to improve internet connection quality and ensure security and safety in online activities.
- Strengthening Scientific Research: Developing and deploying solutions to make Vietnam’s internet safer, more reliable, and beneficial.
- Coordinated Communication Efforts: Promoting the image and activities of both parties through joint media and publicity initiatives.
