VKU signs cooperation agreement with Orochi Network at Vietnam Blockchain & AI Technology Week 2025
Within the framework of Vietnam Blockchain & AI Technology Week 2025 – Super Vietnam 2025, held on June 4th–5th, 2025, in Da Nang City, Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Danang, and Orochi Network Co., Ltd officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The signing ceremony took place in the main conference hall of Super Vietnam 2025 – a national-scale event that gathers leading experts, enterprises, research organizations, and universities in the fields of blockchain, artificial intelligence, and innovation. Attending the signing ceremony were Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho – Vice Rector of VKU and Mr. Tran Anh Dung – Founder and CTO of Orochi Network.
The cooperation agreement aims to foster collaboration between academia and industry in building an ecosystem for education, research, and the application of new technologies. Areas of cooperation include: implementing practical internship programs for VKU students at Orochi Network; jointly organizing seminars and specialized workshops on blockchain and AI; co-developing specialized training programs and modules; conducting joint research and developing interdisciplinary technology projects with high applicability.
VKU is a public university under the University of Danang, established in 2020, currently enrolling nearly 7,000 students and staffed by a highly qualified teaching team, including 70 PhDs and Associate Professors. 100% of its faculty hold master’s degrees obtained from advanced countries around the world. VKU’s mission is to train high-quality human resources in cutting-edge technologies such as Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Fintech, and Semiconductor Design. With a strong emphasis on practical-oriented education, VKU maintains partnerships with over 200 tech enterprises and universities both domestically and internationally. Notably, VKU’s training programs are bilingual (English-Vietnamese, Japanese-Vietnamese, Korean-Vietnamese), integrated with hands-on practice, regularly updated with new technologies. All VKU students are required to write their graduation thesis in English and are encouraged to engage in research, startups, and innovation from their early years in university.
Orochi Network is a prominent innovative startup in Vietnam, specializing in providing blockchain infrastructure solutions, especially Oracle – a platform that securely and reliably connects off-chain data to smart contracts in a fast manner. Orochi not only acts as a core technology developer but also actively participates in the Web3 ecosystem, blockchain gaming, and decentralized finance (DeFi) applications. With its open orientation and outstanding technological capabilities, Orochi is considered a strategic partner for major blockchain projects across the Asia-Pacific region.

The cooperation between VKU and Orochi Network not only adds practical value to education but also expands the potential to develop real-world technology application programs. VKU students will have early access to core technologies such as blockchain, gain deep insights into decentralized system architecture, and be directly mentored by leading industry experts. The MoU also opens the door for the formation of joint research groups between VKU faculty and Orochi engineers to develop breakthrough technology solutions applicable to national digital transformation. The signing event in Da Nang – the innovation hub of the Central region – further affirms VKU’s pioneering role in the national technology ecosystem. In the near future, both sides will implement intensive training courses, practical internships, and technology innovation competitions for VKU students.

Also at the Super Vietnam 2025 event, VKU was represented by Dr. Nguyen Quang Vu – Head of the Department of Academic Affairs – who participated as a moderator for the panel discussion titled “Focus on R&D – The driving force for Vietnam’s future in owning core technology” and also as a speaker in the session on “AI and the future of the labor market: How automation by AI is reshaping jobs.”

The MoU signing between VKU and Orochi Network marks a significant step forward in strengthening the connection between academia and industry, creating a solid foundation for bringing modern technology into education, research, and real-world applications. The cooperation not only expands learning and practice opportunities for students but also contributes to building an innovation ecosystem, promoting VKU’s digital transformation and international integration in a sustainable and distinctive direction.
