On the morning of June 6^th, 2025, VKU Job Fair 2025 took place on the campus of Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Danang. The event was co-organized by VKU and Danang Department of Home Affairs, as part of the city’s “Having a Job” action program initiated by the Danang People’s Committee. With a city-wide scale and the goal of connecting students – enterprises – society, the event not only opened up thousands of job opportunities but also demonstrated VKU’s commitment to linking training with practical needs and supporting students’ career development in the context of digital transformation and global integration.

Overview of the Opening Ceremony of VKU Job Fair 2025

Attending the event, from the Organizing Committee were Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong – Deputy Director of Danang Department of Home Affairs, Head of the Organizing Committee; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap – Rector of VKU, Co-Head of the Organizing Committee;

Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Bac – Vice President of the University of Danang; Representatives of member institutions of the University of Danang; Mr. Le Cong Hung – Secretary of the Danang Youth Union; Mr. Ta Tu Binh – Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ngu Hanh Son District, along with representatives from more than 170 domestic and international enterprises and organizations. With over 10,000 attendees, VKU Job Fair 2025 marked itself as one of the largest career events in the Central region, bringing together 170 companies, including 71 on-site recruitment booths and more than 100 companies recruiting online. In total, over 8,200 job and internship opportunities were offered, spanning fields from software engineering, semiconductors, and AI to digital finance, logistics, e-commerce, and creative services. The event not only served VKU students but also welcomed students from universities and colleges across the city and job seekers, playing an important role in connecting labor supply and demand and promoting a sustainable job market.

In her opening remarks, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong emphasized:
“The student Job Fair is not just a recruitment bridge but also contributes to realizing the city’s ‘3 haves’ program, specifically ‘having a job.’ Through diverse activities such as direct interviews, recruitment connections, and specialized seminars, the event will help students, workers, and businesses meet and exchange information effectively, contributing to the development of high-quality human resources and ensuring sustainable social welfare.”

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap – Rector of VKU, Co-Head of the Organizing Committee is giving remarks

As the Co-Head of the Organizing Committee of the chair of VKU Job Fair 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap shared his deep insights into the university’s development journey and mission. VKU is a leading public university in Vietnam in the fields of information technology, communications, and digital economy, with an advanced, practice-oriented training ecosystem and an internationally integrated vision. In just over five years since its establishment, VKU has achieved remarkable milestones, with nearly 7,000 students, a high-quality teaching staff, and nearly 200 strategic corporate partners. The university pioneers in launching new training programs to meet the demands of the era, such as Semiconductor Chip Design Engineering, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Financial Technology (Fintech) – fields with high human resource demand and strategic importance in the digital age.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap emphasized that VKU is not only strong in training but also a hub for prestigious academic competitions for students. The university has successfully hosted the Central – Central Highlands Informatics Olympiad for many years. Notably, in August 2025, VKU is honored to be selected by Danang People’s Committee to host the International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) with nearly 1,200 contestants from 40 countries worldwide. These highlights demonstrate VKU’s stature, reputation, and social responsibility not only in education and training but also in creating an academic, career, and global integration environment for Vietnam’s younger generation. With a clear strategy and strong community support, VKU is steadily realizing its mission of becoming a leading center for training and technology transfer in the region.

The distinctive feature of VKU Job Fair 2025 lies not only in its large-scale recruitment activities but also in the depth of its content, highlighted by 12 thematic seminars conducted by leading enterprises. At these sessions, students had the opportunity to gain practical insights into careers, job application skills, and emerging technology trends such as AI, IC design, blockchain, and low-code,…delivered by experts from Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and large domestic tech companies. Moreover, the conference on “Developing High-Quality Human Resources in the Digital Age and Global Integration”, held within the framework of the event, served as a forum connecting the three pillars: Government – Academia – Industry; together, they aimed to promote the realization of Resolution 57-NQ/TW and national as well as local strategies for digital workforce development.

VKU Job Fair 2025 is a vivid testament to the educational philosophy of “Humanity – Dedication – Liberation” that VKU pursues.
