VKU Delegation of Lecturers and Outstanding Students Participates in the “KMUTNB International Leadership Camp 2026” in Thailand
On June 9, 2026, a delegation of lecturers and students from Vietnam–Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), The University of Danang, officially joined the Opening Ceremony of the “KMUTNB International Leadership Camp 2026: Technopreneurship Skills for Global Innovators” at Technopark, King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB), Thailand. The program is one of the region’s notable international academic exchange and leadership development initiatives for students from Asia and other countries worldwide, including South Africa, China, Indonesia, Taiwan, Vietnam, and Thailand.

The VKU delegation participating in this year’s program consists of two lecturers and six outstanding students carefully selected from the University’s key disciplines, including Information Technology, Information Security, Business Administration, and Financial Technology. The selected students have demonstrated excellent academic performance, strong English communication skills, and active engagement in academic activities, scientific research, student movements, and community service. The selection process was conducted transparently and rigorously to identify exemplary representatives who reflect the dynamic, confident, and globally minded spirit of VKU students.
According to the program schedule, from June 8 to June 14, 2026, the VKU delegation is participating in the onsite camp in Bangkok, Thailand, featuring a wide range of academic activities, international networking opportunities, and industry exposure. Under the theme “Technopreneurship Skills for Global Innovators,” the program aims to equip students with essential skills needed in the era of digital transformation and the global creative economy. The participation of lecturers and students from universities around the world creates a multicultural learning environment and fosters strong global connections.

VKU delegation at the Opening Ceremony of the “KMUTNB International Leadership Camp 2026”
On the first day, VKU participants attended the opening ceremony, Ice-Breaking activities, and Workshop #1 – Discover (PESTEL Analysis). Through networking sessions and multinational teamwork, students had the opportunity to quickly build connections, exchange ideas, and analyze real-world issues from a global perspective. In the following days, participants continue to engage in specialized workshops on problem discovery, business idea development, brand model creation, pitching, and innovation validation. In addition, the program includes visits to the Food Innovation Center of the Betagro Group and cultural experiences at the historic city of Ayutthaya, enabling students to gain practical insights into business management, innovation, and regional culture.

International online classes with students and lecturers from partner universities
Prior to the onsite camp, from May 29 to June 4, 2026, the VKU delegation participated in a series of international online classes with students and lecturers from partner universities via Zoom Meeting. The sessions focused on technopreneurship, innovative leadership skills, product value creation, Lean Canvas, and Design Thinking Bootcamp methodologies. This preparatory phase played an important role in helping students develop foundational knowledge, become familiar with an international academic environment, and establish initial connections with participants from different countries.

Especially, in order to maximize opportunities for students to join high-quality international programs, VKU has provided substantial financial support covering round-trip airfare, insurance, accommodation, main meals, and group transportation throughout the learning period in Thailand. The funding is sourced from ODA-supported projects aimed at enhancing the University’s education, training, governance, and research capacity, along with other collaborative projects. This support policy further demonstrates VKU’s strong commitment to accompanying students on their journey toward global integration and comprehensive development.
Participation in the “KMUTNB International Leadership Camp 2026” not only provides valuable international learning and networking opportunities for VKU lecturers and students but also reinforces the University’s strategic commitment to the internationalization of education. Through international academic exchange programs, VKU continues to develop a modern and multicultural learning environment that enables students to strengthen their professional competencies, soft skills, foreign language proficiency, and global mindset, preparing them to thrive in the international labor market in the digital era.
