In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap – Rector of the University – expressed his joy and pride, and extended his congratulations to nearly 500 students who have successfully completed their studies and training over the past four years at VKU, becoming new Bachelors and Engineers. He also highlighted that nearly 30% of the graduates were recognized as achieving Excellent or Good academic results. These achievements are the crystallization of the students’ perseverance and intelligence, the dedicated companionship of their lecturers, and the silent love of their parents, who have always trusted and supported them throughout their educational journey at VKU. They embody the University’s educational philosophy of “Humanity – Dedication – Liberation” which continues to affirm VKU’s role and reputation through outstanding academic and intellectual playgrounds at both national and international levels, as well as its contributions to the development of high-quality human resources for society. Thereby, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap expressed his belief that VKU students will continue to make efforts to improve themselves, develop their talents, and contribute their knowledge and abilities to the cause of national development in the future.
As the new Engineers and Bachelors received their graduation certificates, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap expressed his joy and pride in the achievements they have attained. They represent the first cohort of students of a young yet ambitious university – a generation that has both witnessed and contributed to the remarkable growth of VKU. They began their university journey during the challenging period of the COVID-19 pandemic, when their first lessons took place not in lively classrooms but within online frames on a computer screen. But in that adversity, they demonstrated the courage, perseverance, and adaptability of a digital-citizen generation – young people who know how to turn difficulties into opportunities, challenges into strengths, and are ready to adapt to the rapid changes of the modern world.
The results achieved today represent only a small step toward the greater goal of making VKU a core member within the University of Danang system, undertaking national strategic missions in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, big data, fintech, applied semiconductors, and cybersecurity. The University is striving to contribute to the goal of bringing the University of Danang into the Top 150 in Asia and achieving a high global ranking in Computer Science by 2030, in accordance with Conclusion No. 45 of the Central Steering Committee issued recently.
Student Phan Nguyen Bao Tram – a new Bachelor of Business Administration delivered a speech at the ceremony
Representing 490 new Bachelors and Engineers, student Phan Nguyen Bao Tram – a new Bachelor of Business Administration – spoke with sincerity and emotion: I recall 2021 – a special starting point when the world was covered by a pandemic, and VKU was like a young tree just beginning to sprout. However, it was the belief in VKU’s educational philosophy of “Humanity – Dedication – Liberation” that guided the student community through the days of social distancing and the early online lectures filled with confusion. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to my grandparents, parents, and family, who have always been my greatest support, to my devoted lecturers, and to VKU – a university that has made tireless and selfless journeys of dedication and sacrifice for its students. In every word of gratitude lies a burning passion – a promise to carry forward the VKU spirit with responsibility, aspiration, humanity, and constant creativity.
