On the morning of November 11, 2025, the opening ceremony of the “Hanwha Life Future Plus Korean Invitation Program 2025” took place at Hanwha Life headquarters in Seoul, Korea, with the participation of Viet Nam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), The University of Danang, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH), Hanwha Life Group, and the ChildFund Korea (CFK).

The opening ceremony was held in Seoul, Korea

The event was attended by Mr. Im Seok-hyun, Executive Director and Head of Strategic Planning Division, Hanwha Life; and Ms. Shin Jeong-won, Head of Social Contribution Division, ChildFund Korea (CFK). Representing VKU were Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho, Vice Rector and Head of Delegation, leaders of the Department of Student Affairs, 20 VKU students, and 10 students from HUTECH.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho expressed his honor to participate in the program in Korea with the students and extended his sincere appreciation to Hanwha Life and ChildFund Korea for their continued support for VKU in many meaningful activities such as the Central – Central Highlands Informatics Olympiad, VKU Campus Tour in 2024 and 2025 (attracting nearly 6,000 students from primary to high schools nationwide), the DEFI 2025 International Conference, as well as sponsoring the establishment of the VKU Fintech Hub Research & Startup Space. He emphasized that this program is a valuable opportunity for Vietnamese students, especially those from VKU, to broaden their vision, gain international experience, and explore world-leading financial and technological environments. It also helps foster students’ innovative thinking, entrepreneurial spirit, and global integration capabilities – qualities that align with VKU’s educational training orientation in the digital era.

Overview of the opening ceremony

The opening ceremony proceeded in a formal, warm and engaging atmosphere. Representatives from Hanwha Life introduced the Future Plus Talent Development Program, global strategies, and plans for talent development in Vietnam, as well as the CSR activities they are implementing. Students from both universities had the opportunity to visit Hanwha Life Insurance Headquarters and the Gangnam Dream Plus Startup Center, and attend thematic lectures on AI in Insurance, Insurtech and the Future of Finance, and the Direct Insurance Product Inquiry Chatbot (an advanced AI solution for automated insurance consulting). They also learned from the success stories of Korean Fintech startups operating in Vietnam.

Representing VKU students, Le Dinh Phuc shared: “We are truly honored to join this program. It is a precious journey to learn, connect, and explore Korean culture and technology, helping us shape our future career paths. We sincerely thank VKU’s Leadership for always creating conditions and guiding us toward valuable international opportunities like this, and we deeply appreciate Hanwha Life and ChildFund Korea for organizing and sponsoring such a wonderful learning and cultural experience.”

The “Hanwha Life Future Plus Korean Invitation Program 2025” serves as a meaningful bridge for collaboration between Hanwha Life, CFK, and Vietnamese universities, particularly VKU. It demonstrates a shared commitment to developing Fintech human resources and strengthening international academic and cultural exchange. After five days of study and experience, VKU and HUTECH students are expected to return with new knowledge, experiences, and inspiration, contributing to spreading the spirit of global integration among Vietnamese students in the digital era.
