KMUTNB, one of Thailand’s leading universities, became the gathering place for over 60 international students from nine universities across different countries such as France, South Korea, China, Vietnam, and more, to participate in the international student exchange program. To train global citizens for the 21st century, the camp provided an excellent platform for students to broaden their horizons and acquire invaluable knowledge, thereby boosting their motivation and eagerness to learn.

Visiting Modern Technologies at KMUTNB

During the program, all students participated in sessions on modern technologies such as “AI, robotics, and automation” and learned about the 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs) to develop and build solutions for each country’s development goals as well as global objectives. Teams were formed by connecting students from different countries, engaging in activities such as information gathering, discussions, and presentations, which helped students enhance their teamwork, and soft skills, and gain new knowledge related to essential skills and technologies of the new era. With the support and guidance of international lecturers from Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia, each project was created with meticulous care, completeness, and high applicability.

In addition to academic exchange activities, students also participated in cultural exchange activities with international students from over 10 countries. This was a platform for everyone to share and explore the cultural beauty of different countries. Students also had the opportunity to visit unique locations such as ICON Siam Mall, Siam Museum, Bangsaen Aquarium, and Leamthaen Beach to gain a deeper understanding of the traditions, culture, and natural magnificence of the beautiful capital city of Bangkok. Throughout the summer camp and cultural exchange activities with international lecturers and students, VKU students performed excellently and confidently in their professional and language skills when standing on stage with international friends.

After six days of participating in the international camp in Thailand, VKU students had an extremely beneficial and memorable experience with a variety of emotions from excitement and anticipation to experiencing new realities. The exchange program provided a wealth of knowledge and skills that helped students enhance their understanding of technology as well as their awareness of global social issues. Additionally, it improved their adaptability to new environments, fostered international friendships, encouraged flexible thinking, and helped them mature through each experiential activity.

With the orientation and strategy of reaching the international level, the success of the program with the theme “Leadership Camp: 21st Century Skills for Global Citizens” among ten different universities worldwide not only contributes to international integration but also serves as a solid steppingstone for VKU to continue internationalizing many activities in the future.
