The university focuses on providing in-depth training and research in the fields of information technology, communication, and digital economics. With that development orientation, besides improving the quality of infrastructure and training programs, VKU pays great attention to expanding employment opportunities for students after graduation so that they can integrate into the labor markets at home and abroad. In particular, this training program has demonstrated the spirit and philosophy of “Humanity – Service – Liberalization” of the university, always creating the best academic environment for students with humanitarian approach through corporate sponsorship of tuition fees, teaching support from both companies and the university, as well as providing opportunities for university students to access international training programs.
The collaborative Information Technology Engineer Training Program with Japanese enhancement aims to train high quality human resources for both domestic and international markets, especially in Japan. Mr. Han Van Thang – Deputy General Director of Nix Education spoke at the launching ceremony
Mr. Han Van Thang, Deputy General Director of Nix Education, expressed his joy for the success course, exceeding expectations. After a year of training, the program had eleven students selected by Japanese enterprises for internships and part-time work with salaries (including companies such as NecScat, iYell, IMPL). The students can communicate with the companies in Japanese fluently through chat apps in order to work. All students of class 21JIT were highly evaluated in many aspects such as the ability to use Japanese in work, problem-solving skills, proactive and positive communication, and so on. The success achieved is attributed not only to the students’ individual efforts but also to the flawless coordination and mutual support between the university and the organization. Additionally, Mr. Thang shared that the primary goal of this program is to introduce many students to part-time internships with Japanese companies. This proves highly beneficial for the students’ career paths, as it not only helps solve economic challenges by providing additional income but also enhances their professional and language skills when working in their respective fields of study. It allows them to quickly adapt to the working environment after graduation.
At the lauching ceremony, representatives of Japanese enterprises such as NecScat, iYell, IMPL (participating online) had speeches, shared insights, and highly appreciated the training program, as well as the collaboration and facilitation between VKU and NiX Education. Through practical surveys during the training process, and the working sections with students from the 21JIT class, businesses highly appreciate their spirit of learning and fluent foreign language skills and their serious attitude in the workplace.
Representing students from the 21JIT class, Tran Thi Thu Dung shared her thoughts.
As a representative of the 21JIT class, Tran Thi Thu Dung shared that she had been studying Japanese for five years and had achieved N4 level, but still lacked confidence in communication despite having a good grasp of its basic vocabulary and grammar. Feeling stuck and unsure despite investing a lot of time, she coincidentally attended a workshop introducing the first batch of Information Technology Engineer Training Program with Japanese enhancement by Nix Education. Fortunately, she joined the Japanese language class, and it felt like finding a destination for her drifting boat. She started learning Japanese again from the beginning, but in a different and enjoyable way. With the supportive learning environment provided by the trainers, she gained more confidence in communicating with Japanese people and students, both in and outside the company. Additionally, there were extracurricular activities which facilitated her interaction and meetings with Japanese individuals. She even had the opportunity to become an intern at a Japanese company. Currently, they are studying specialized Japanese, which she finds very useful during their internship. Thu Dung shared her learning strategy: “Speak up, don’t be afraid, speak fluently, make mistakes, and then correct them. It’s okay because we’re still learning.”
Nguyen Tan Canh, a student from the 22JIT class, shared his thoughts. Through research, he acknowledged that the Information Technology Engineer Training Program with Japanese enhancement, a collaboration between VKU and Nix Education, provides clear learning paths, advanced teaching methods, and a highly competent teaching staff. Besides being trained in specialized knowledge, students also have the opportunity to learn Japanese theoretically and practically.
According to the plan, the 37 students from the 22JIT class (Course 2), selected from over 300 students in the 2022 Information Technology major, will participate in the program. They will learn Japanese concurrently with relevant specialized courses at the university. With nearly 300 hours of Japanese language training, upon graduation, the students will have the ability to use Japanese proficiently, achieve level N3, and communicate effectively in Japanese with partners regarding the implementation of information technology related projects. Additionally, these students will receive support to update their professional knowledge in technology, enabling them to work in Japanese agencies, businesses, and organizations, as well as in modern international environments, meeting the requirements of Vietnamese socio-economy in the process of international integration. Moreover, it allows them to continue their academic and research pursuits at a higher level.
