In the joyful and exciting atmosphere of freshers nationwide, Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), Da Nang University held 2023 Enrollment Days for more than 1,500 freshers on September 06 and 07, 2023.

Right from the early morning of September 06, 2023, plenty of freshers and their parents gathered at the school with their luggage for a new student life. The joy was evidently expressed on their faces when they became VKU students, which marks an important milestone in their life when entering the university. Mixed with joy and excitement, both new students and their parents also had a lot of nervousness and anxiety when they started an independent life far away from home and put in motion a learning environment with new teachers, new friends and new knowledge.

At the end of the 2023 enrollment period, there were 1,624 candidates admitted to VKU with admission scores ranging from 22 to 25.01 points (based on The National High School Exam  scores), from 24 to 26 points (based on high school academic records) and other admission criteria like direct admission (based on the Ministry’s regulations), separate admission (based on VKU’s regulations) and Competency Assessment Examination scores issued by Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City for 14 majors/minors. 1,544 candidates completed enrollment procedures on VKU’s online enrollment system at http://nhaphoc.vku.udn.vn and 100% of them completed direct enrollment procedures at VKU.

To create the most favorable conditions and the best supports for VKU enrollment freshers, the school has developed a plan in advance to arrange and decorate the enrollment area as well as create a green – clean – beautiful campus with slogans, flags, banners and instructions on enrollment procedures so that new students and their parents would have a feeling of hospitality and warm welcome from VKU big family. A team of more than 200 student and lecturer volunteers were assigned everywhere from the streets nearby to the school yard and also in the enrollment area and dormitory to provide freshers and their parents with thoughtful and enthusiastic guidance in time.

At the event, a new student named Van Thi Phuoc My – majoring in Information Technology (Bachelor of Engineering) from Quang Nam shared: I am passionate about becoming a programmer in the future. Therefore, right from grade 10, I’ve actively researched and learned more about programming languages. Thanks to findings on social networks and recommendations from my friends and relatives, I decided to choose VKU as the place where I will orient my dreams for the future. Although there will be many difficulties ahead, I will be determined to study and overcome them.

VKU Clubs welcomed and introduced their clubs to freshers.

In the joyful and bustling atmosphere of the enrollment days, many organizations and businesses in cooperation with VKU such as VNPT Da Nang, Mobifone, Agribank Tan Chinh, Kim Anh Computer, Momo,… also displayed booths to welcome and support new students.

In addition, with the educational philosophy of Humanity – Service – Liberalization, VKU has realized the campaign “Zero-dong bus trips – Supporting students to get to school” which aimed to support new students who first came to da Nang from distant places with a frequency of 02-04 trips per day at 03 locations including Da Nang Central Bus Station (in the North of Da Nang), Da Nang Train Station, Duc Long Bus Station (in the South of Da Nang) during three days on September 05 – 07, 2023. VKU’s “Zero-dong” bus trips brought more than 200 new students and parents to the school dormitory, bringing them a feeling of trust and warmth when choosing VKU as a destination for their dreams.

Dearly wish 2023 VKU freshers a powerful state of mind to enter the new school year 2023-2024 with joy, excitement, excellent achievements in studying and practice, thereby contributing to improving the quality of training, strengthening the brand range and image of Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology – THE DREAM UNIVERSITY IN THE CENTRAL REGION.
