VKU signed a Memorandum of Understanding with King Mongkuts University of Technology, Thailand to strengthen the internationalization activities of exchange lecturers and students in learning and research
In the afternoon of July 28, 2023, within the framework of the CITA 2023 – 12th Conference and the “Asean Consortium for Innovation and Research (ACIR)”, at the Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Da Nang held a signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding between the Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU) and King Mongkuts University of Technology, Thailand (King Monggkuts University of Technology North Bangkok – KMUTNB) in order to strengthen and expand training network and scientific research in the field of information technology and digital economy between the two units.
Attending the signing ceremony, on the side of KMUTNB, was Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Sunantha Sodsee, on the VKU side, had Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Huynh Cong Phap – Rector, Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Nguyen Thanh Binh – University Council Chairman and University Departments/Boards’ Leaders.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Huynh Cong Phap – Rector is pleased to welcome KMUTNB delegation to visit VKU and directly participate in the signing ceremony today. Thereby, showing spirit and goodwill of the two units’ cooperation, contribute to promoting the internationalization of training programs, exchanging lecturers and students in scientific research and innovation activities, opening up many new cooperation opportunities between the two units in the future.
King Monkuts University of Technology is a famous university, ranked in the Top best universities in Thailand and Top 03 in Southeast Asia in the field of science and technology, training good students to serve the modern industry of Thailand (ranked by Times Higher Education, 2013-2014), with a 63-year history, including a central library system, smart learning and research space, green architecture campus. With a global orientation and strategy reaching the international level, the cooperation between the two units opens up many opportunities for development, promoting the available advantages and potentials from the two units.

The signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between the two units today marks a very important strategic step, in which we commit to implement and support each other on the following key contents:
– Co-organize research and innovation activities, propose and implement joint international projects.
– Coordinate to organize academic programs such as workshops, seminars… at the level of Asean and internationally.
– Exchange lecturers participating in English teaching for the global program at VKU and international programs at KMUTNB; exchange students for internships, study and scientific research, especially in the fields of information technology, computer engineering, logistics, tourism and marketing annually.
– Organize short-term semesters, practical internships in Thailand for students majoring in Digital Tourism and Travel Services Management, Logistics.
– Implement the program of human resource development, Bachelor, Master and Doctoral training.
The signing ceremony took place successfully; the two units will have meetings and exchanges to promote the signed terms soon to be work, and will further expand bilateral international cooperation programs in the coming time.
