The delegation from the Hue City Department of Education and Training visited, worked with, and toured the Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology
On the afternoon of June 18, 2026, the Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Da Nang, had the honor of welcoming a delegation from the Hue City Department of Education and Training for a visit, working session, and campus tour. The delegation was led by Mr. Nguyen Huu Phuoc – Deputy Director of the Hue City Department of Education and Training, along with representatives from specialized divisions and leaders of schools under the Department. Receiving and working with the delegation were Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho – Vice Rector of the university, and leaders of various departments, faculties, and centers.

Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho – Vice Rector of VKU delivered a speech
In his welcoming remarks, Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho – Vice Rector of the university – expressed his pleasure in welcoming the leaders of the Hue City Department of Education and Training to visit and learn about VKU’s training, research, and innovation environment. During the meeting, Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho provided an overview of the university’s establishment, development, and outstanding achievements in training, scientific research, international cooperation, digital transformation, and innovation, and shared the vision of developing VKU into a leading digital university in Vietnam with regional standing in the fields of digital technology and the digital economy.
Currently, VKU enrolls nearly 8,000 students in 22 majors and specializations in cutting-edge technology fields such as information technology, artificial intelligence, data science, information security, semiconductor integrated circuit design, e-commerce, logistics and digital supply chain management, digital business administration, and digital tourism and hospitality management. With an annual intake of approximately 1,500 students and continuously improving admission quality, VKU is increasingly affirming its position as a reputable institution for digital technology education in the Central and Central Highlands regions. The university is also a pioneer in implementing bilingual English-Vietnamese, Japanese-Vietnamese, and Korean-Vietnamese training programs. In addition, VKU has expanded cooperation with numerous universities, businesses, and international organizations from Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and many other countries through various student exchange programs, international semesters, business internships, and academic and cultural exchange activities, thereby providing students with opportunities to study in multicultural environments, gain international experience, and enhance their competitiveness in the global labor market.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Mr. Nguyen Huu Phuoc – Deputy Director of the Hue City Department of Education and Training – thanked the university for its warm reception and highly appreciated the outstanding achievements that VKU has attained in recent years. He expressed his admiration for the university’s clear development strategy, its training model closely connected with industry, its strong internationalization orientation, and its modern facilities, all of which meet the requirements for training high-quality human resources in the context of digital transformation.
In an open atmosphere, both sides exchanged views on various issues related to education and training, career guidance for high school students, digital transformation in education, and solutions to strengthen collaboration between high schools and universities, thereby enabling students to gain early access to modern learning environments and choose careers aligned with social development trends.
Following the working session, the delegation toured the campus, lecture halls, dormitories, smart classrooms, laboratories, research centers, and innovation and practice facilities. The delegates expressed their admiration for the modern, green, and friendly learning environment, as well as the comprehensively invested infrastructure, especially the specialized laboratories supporting training and research in fields such as artificial intelligence, semiconductor integrated circuit design, information security, Fintech, and many other advanced technologies.
The visit contributed to strengthening the relationship between the Hue City Department of Education and Training and VKU, while also opening up numerous opportunities for cooperation in career guidance, student recruitment, and the development of high-quality human resources. It also provided an opportunity for VKU to further affirm its modern, internationally oriented educational environment and its position as one of the leading centers for training, research, and innovation in digital technology in the Central and Central Highlands regions.
