Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho – Vice Rector of VKU delivers opening remarks

In his opening speech, Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho – Vice Rector of VKU – emphasized that in the context of rapid global digital transformation, choosing a field of study should not be based solely on personal interests but also on a thorough understanding of societal development trends and labor market demands. Fields such as digital technology, artificial intelligence, e-commerce, integrated circuit design, and financial technology are becoming key pillars of the economy, offering numerous high-quality career opportunities for the younger generation. With its orientation toward becoming a digital university, VKU continuously pioneers innovation in its training programs, updates modern technologies, and focuses on the comprehensive development of learners—from academic knowledge and professional skills to foreign language proficiency and global mindset. “VKU not only equips students for employment but also aims to develop global citizens who can adapt to and lead change in the digital era.”

Students and teachers gain direct insights into The University of Danang and VKU

Within the program, students and teachers were provided with comprehensive information about The University of Danang and Vietnam–Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU) through engaging and visually rich introduction videos, along with presentations delivered by the University’s academic staff. Beyond listening, students actively participated in discussions, asked questions, and interacted directly with the admissions counseling team. Through these exchanges, they gained a clearer understanding of academic programs, career orientations, as well as VKU’s modern, dynamic, and internationally integrated learning environment.

Students explore and experience activities at the booths

Robocar competition attracts strong student interest

The program was designed with a multi-dimensional experiential approach, enabling students to engage directly with real-world activities rather than passively receiving information. Activities such as the Robocar competition and hands-on exploration at technology booths organized by VKU faculties provided valuable opportunities for students to discover key academic fields firsthand. In addition, the international cultural experience space—featuring activities on Korean and Japanese cultures, along with traditional games and costumes—contributed to a vibrant and dynamic picture of VKU’s multicultural learning environment, where students not only gain academic knowledge but also develop essential skills and a global mindset.

The program atmosphere became more vibrant and engaging through musical performances, mini-games, and lucky draws, fostering natural connections between high school students and VKU lecturers and undergraduates. The harmonious combination of academic counseling and experiential activities not only provided accurate and practical information but also left lasting positive impressions, helping students feel more confident in choosing their fields of study and shaping their future directions.

VKU presents sponsorships and scholarships to high schools and students

A notable highlight of the program, carrying profound humanistic value, was the presentation of sponsorships and companion scholarships to high schools and students. In 2026, VKU allocated VND 1 billion to implement scholarship programs and provide financial support for students in the Central and Central Highlands regions, especially those facing difficult circumstances but demonstrating strong determination in their studies. This initiative not only offers practical support but also clearly reflects VKU’s commitment to companionship and sharing, as well as its enduring educational philosophy of “Humanity – Dedication – Liberation.”

Through the 2026 series of admissions and career guidance programs, VKU continues to affirm its pioneering role in accompanying students on their journey of future career selection. With a sustainable development orientation and a strong alignment between education and societal needs, VKU remains committed to providing a modern, dynamic, and internationally integrated learning environment.

The success of the programs at Nguyen Binh Khiem High School for the Gifted and Binh Son High School serves as an important foundation for VKU to further expand its admissions counseling activities in the near future, contributing to enhancing its image as a leading public university in digital technology and digital economy, while accompanying the younger generation in shaping their future in the digital era.
