VKU Student Wins First Prize at the Innovative Technology Entrepreneurship Competition for Students of the University of Danang (InTE UD-2025)
On the morning of October 25, 2025, with the support of the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang City and partner enterprises, the Student Association of the University of Danang organized the Final Round of the 5th Innovative Technology Entrepreneurship Competition – InTE UD 2025. This year’s competition attracted 150 creative and diverse start-up projects and products from universities, colleges, and high schools across the region. After several challenging rounds, the Organizing Committee selected the 5 most outstanding teams to advance to the final round, where they showcased their talent, innovative thinking, and entrepreneurial spirit. As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 First Prize, 1 Second Prize, 1 Third Prize, and 2 Consolation Prizes.

In the vibrant and highly competitive atmosphere of the final round, students from Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology – The University of Danang (VKU) made an impressive mark by winning the First Prize (Champion) and one Consolation Prize, reaffirming VKU’s position as a cradle for nurturing talented, creative, and passionate young technology entrepreneurs with many promising digital innovation projects.

Team InTE_5601 was crowned Champion with their project “ShieldNet – A Multi-layer AI System for Supporting and Securing Cyberspace”
The InTE_5601 team from VKU impressively claimed the Champion title with their project “ShieldNet – A Multi-layer AI System for Supporting and Securing Cyberspace.” The project was highly praised for its creativity, practical applicability, and profound social significance amid increasingly sophisticated cybersecurity threats. Notably, ShieldNet is the outcome of a joint research project between VKU and the Vietnam Internet Center (VNNIC), aiming to apply artificial intelligence to enhance cybersecurity capacity, monitoring, and cyberattack prevention in Vietnam’s digital space. Team InTE_5601 consists of Truong The Quoc Dung, Ton That Ron, Phung Anh Sang (21GIT), Nguyen Ngoc Xuan Quynh (23AI), and Tran Viet Gia Bao (22GBA) – young students who have demonstrated excellent research skills, effective teamwork, and a strong desire to create highly applicable technological solutions.

Team InTE_5605 received a Consolation Prize with their project “Smart Agriculture Application – Coffee Leaf Disease Classification”
In addition, the InTE_5605 team from VKU also made a strong impression and earned a Consolation Prize with their project “Smart Agriculture Application – Coffee Leaf Disease Classification.” The project was developed as part of a provincial-level scientific research project in Kon Tum, aiming to support farmers in early detection of coffee leaf diseases through image analysis, thereby helping them take timely and appropriate treatment measures. The product applies artificial intelligence (AI) and deep learning technologies for image analysis, contributing to digital transformation in agriculture and offering significant benefits for key coffee-growing areas in the Central Highlands. The InTE_5605 team includes Nguyen Tran Chi Khang, Doan Quang Thang (22AD), Le Dinh Phuc (22GIT), Pham Van Ngoc Vinh (22KIT), and Nguyen Cuu Kim Anh (22EF) – outstanding representatives of VKU’s young generation who are always ready to innovate, create, and contribute to the community.

Both projects were incubated at the Digital Science and Technology Institute (eSTI) and directly supervised by Dr. Nguyen Huu Nhat Minh. The modern research and entrepreneurship environment, along with the dedicated guidance of passionate lecturers, has enabled students to fully unleash their creativity, turn innovative ideas into reality, and confidently bring their technological products to major competitions.
The impressive achievements at InTE UD 2025 are a clear testament to the training quality, research capability, and innovative entrepreneurial mindset of VKU students – confident, dynamic future digital citizens ready to conquer major technology arenas. VKU’s projects not only demonstrate the practical application of technology but also embody a strong humanistic spirit, addressing real-world social challenges – from cyberspace protection to sustainable agricultural development.
