In his speech at the opening ceremony, Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho – Vice Rector of the university, congratulated 30 students of 2023 cohort who successfully passed multiple interview rounds to join the Korean-Vietnamese bilingual program. With an orientation towards the internationalization of its training activities, VKU has collaborated with various partners in recent years to implement bilingual training programs in English-Vietnamese, Japanese-Vietnamese, and Korean-Vietnamese. Notably, the first Korean-Vietnamese bilingual IT Engineering/Bachelor Program has achieved remarkable success in just two years. The program has proven its effectiveness, with many students achieving TOPIK level 4 and even TOPIK level 5 in Korean, while regular 4-year language programs typically only reach TOPIK level 4. This is clear evidence of the excellence of the training model that integrates language learning with IT expertise. Moreover, many students have passed qualification assessments and were accepted for paid internships at FPT Software, gaining practical experience while still in school. This is a major opportunity for students to both advance academically and expand their career prospects in a global environment.
The third intake (Class 23KIT) of the Korean-Vietnamese Bilingual IT Engineering/Bachelor Program has successfully selected 30 students majoring in Information Technology (in both Engineering and Bachelor tracks). These students will receive 100% financial support from FPT Software Central Region for Korean language modules, learning materials, and additional priority policies during their studies and recruitment. In addition to learning Korean, students will be trained by business professionals to enhance their practical IT knowledge, aiming to achieve at least TOPIK level 3 and be job-ready upon graduation.
Mr. Phan Trung Diep – Head of Human Resources Assurance at FPT Software Central Region speaking at the ceremony
Representing FPT Software Central Region, Mr. Phan Trung Diep – Head of Human Resources Assurance at FPT Software Central Region stated that the first intake (Class 21KIT) had achieved very impressive results, with many students quickly improving their Korean language skills, reaching high TOPIK levels, and securing paid internships with the company, directly participating in real-world projects. He encouraged the students of Class 23KIT to study hard and make the most of this valuable opportunity to excel in both technical expertise and foreign language skills, thereby gaining the confidence to integrate and seize wide-ranging career opportunities both domestically and internationally. FPT Software Central Region will always accompany and create the best conditions for students to study effectively and develop comprehensively.
