A pre-departure meeting before heading to Thailand

On the morning of June 24, 2025, nine outstanding students from VKU officially departed for Thailand to begin their internship program at KMUTNB, which will run until August 31, 2025. These outstanding students come from various majors, including Information Technology (the English–Vietnamese bilingual program), Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence. They are recognized for their outstanding academic performance, exceptional English proficiency, and a passion for research, as well as international experience.

The internship program is structured into two phases: The online phase (from May 13 to June 21, 2025) aims to help students become familiar with an international academic and research environment. The on-site phase at KMUTNB (from June 24 to August 31, 2025) offers students the opportunity to engage in research projects alongside leading professors and researchers. These projects include topics such as real-time sentiment analysis, traffic system optimization, and machine learning and deep learning applications for emotional intelligence on social media platforms.
Notably, KMUTNB provides full sponsorship for living expenses during the internship period, including a monthly allowance of 10,000 THB, accommodation, and local transportation. VKU also supports each student with USD 468.5 to help cover round-trip airfare, insurance, visa fees, and other living costs. This support is funded by the ODA project of the Korean Government for the period 2022–2027.

Before departure, on the afternoon of June 20, 2025, VKU held a pre-departure orientation meeting with the participation of Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho – Vice Rector of VKU, and Dr. Le Thi Minh Duc – Acting Head of the Student Affairs Office. At the meeting, students were provided with important information about the trip, guidance on attitude and discipline, as well as heartfelt messages from the university leadership. Particularly moving was the message: “You are not only VKU students, but also ambassadors of Vietnamese intelligence and spirit on the global stage.”
