After more than a month of vibrant and enthusiastic competition, the 7th Sports Festival for officials and employees of the University of Danang – 2025 has officially concluded, marking a successful season of unity, spirited competition, and the desire to contribute from all member institutions. In this spirited athletic atmosphere, Vietnam–Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Danang, made a strong impression with its passionate sportsmanship, energetic cheering style, and proud achievements. Every match, every stride, every serve vividly demonstrated the bravery, youthful energy, and determination to break through of a united collective always aiming for comprehensive and sustainable development.

Overview of the Closing Ceremony

Participating with its largest delegation ever, VKU brought more than 205 athlete entries to the Festival, competing in 8 sports across 15 events: Running, Men’s Football, Men’s Volleyball, Women’s Slight Volleyball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Pickleball, and Chinese Chess. Each competition event was a journey of training, willpower, and aspiration by VKU’s staff and employees, members of one big family.

Outstanding Cheerleading Award is presented to VKU

At the end of the Festival, VKU’s sports delegation achieved an impressive total of 7 Silver Medals and 3 Bronze Medals across various events including men’s football, badminton, table tennis, and pickleball, placing 5th overall among all participating units. The most remarkable highlight was the historic journey of VKU’s men’s football team, which reached the final match for the first time and proudly won the Silver Medal. In addition, Pham Hoa Binh, a goalkeeper was honored as the “Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament.” Beyond the professional achievements, the passionate and respectful spirit of VKU’s cheerleading team was also recognized and honored with the Festival’s sole “Outstanding Cheerleading” award. This contributed to spreading the positive image of a modern, united, and energetic community with a strong aspiration to reach new heights.

VKU’s success at the Festival is not only measured by the number of medals won, but also by the sportsmanship, solidarity, and comprehensive development of the university’s physical activity movement. This year’s Festival truly became a meaningful playground where VKU athletes embodied the motto “Healthy to Create – Healthy to Serve.” It also served as a valuable opportunity to foster connection, enhance spiritual and cultural life, and ignite positive energy throughout the university.

With these accomplishments, VKU affirms its spirit, vigor, and strong determination to make breakthroughs, ready to conquer new heights for the sustainable and holistic development of the University of Danang community.
