On the morning of April 19, 2025, Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), Danang University (UD) hosted the Admissions Consulting and Career Orientation Festival 2025 in coordination with the Department of Education and Training of Quang Nam province and Nguyen Hue High School. The program attracted the participation of nearly 1,500 students from high schools in Nui Thanh district (Quang Nam province) and Binh Son district (Quang Ngai province).

Overview of the Festival

The program is part of the strategic cooperation plan between Danang University and the Department of Education and Training of Quang Nam province, with the common goal of training high-quality human resources to meet the development needs of the Central – Middle Highlands region in particular and the whole country in general. The festival was organized to provide students and parents with a comprehensive and scientific view of future career orientation and selection, and update the latest enrollment information in 2025 of Danang University and its member schools.

Attending the program, on the VKU side, there were Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho – Vice Rector of the University, Leaders of Departments, Faculties, Centers of the University; representatives of training institutions of Danang University including the University of Science and Technology, University of Economics, University of Science and Education, University of Technical Education, and School of Medicine and Pharmacy; Representatives of the Board of Directors of Nguyen Hue, Nui Thanh, Cao Ba Quat High Schools (Quang Nam) and Binh Son, Tran Ky Phong, Le Quy Don, Van Tuong High Schools (Quang Ngai) and attendance of more than 1,500 high school students.

In the opening speech, Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho – Vice Rector of VKU, expressed his deep gratitude to the Department of Education and Training of Quang Nam province and Nguyen Hue High School for their active support and companionship in implementing the 2025 admissions and career orientation program. With the theme “Choose the right school – Follow the right training major” of the program, VKU affirmed its commitment to providing the most complete and accurate admissions information from Danang University and its member universities, helping students have a solid foundation to make important decisions for their future.

With its aspiration to build a modern, classy university which is capable of training global citizens right from the Central region, VKU is proud to be the leading public university in the country specializing in digital technology, artificial intelligence, microchips, fintech and so on with bilingual training programs, connecting businesses, internationalization and learner-centered approach. Hopefully, students in Nui Thanh (Quang Nam) and Binh Son (Quang Ngai) will become prospective technology engineers and experts who are not only good at their professional skills but also have the strong desire to develop their homeland and improve themselves with knowledge and technology right in the Central region. Mr. Huynh Ngoc Phuc – Principal of Nguyen Hue High School is giving a speech

On behalf of the units hosting the event, Mr. Huynh Ngoc Phuc – Principal of Nguyen Hue High School, Quang Nam province sincerely thanked VKU and UD for providing important and useful information to its students, helping them have a better understanding about diverse training majors, modern learning environments, and potential career development in the future.

In 2025, VKU aims at enrolling 1,500 students for three training fields including Computer and Information Technology (900 students); Business and Management (480 students); Journalism and Communications (120 students) with five admission methods including direct admission according to the Admission Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training; admission based on high school graduation exam scores in 2025; admission based on high school academic report (based on transcripts); based on the results of American College Testing – Vietnamese version of Ho Chi Minh City National University; and direct admission according to the university’s Admissions Plan. With four new majors/specializations including Financial Technology, Game Technology, Automotive Software Engineering, and Data Analysis, along with fifteen current training majors/specializations namely Information Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Information Security, Semiconductor Design, Communications Technology, Digital Art Design, Business Administration, Logistics Management and Digital Supply Chain, Digital Travel and Tourism Services Management, Digital Financial Management, and Information Technology Project Management. These are “hot” majors suitable for the trend and are in great demand for high-quality human resources from the domestic and international markets.

VKU continues to maintain a stable preferential tuition fee of about 8-9 million VND per semester on average, remaining the groups of candidates who are directly admitted according to the university’s regulations. To accompany and support candidates with high admission results to study at the university, VKU also keeps implementing many new policies to support its students such as a reduction from 50% to 100% of tuition fees for the first semester to the whole course in all admission methods.

In addition to the aforementioned policies to support students, VKU will also offer many “huge” scholarships for Valedictorians (50 million VND), Salutatorians (from 25-40 million VND), and 10 students with the highest admission results (20 million VND) and many other scholarships for students whose achievements in the admission period are great and families have difficult circumstances (2 million VND/scholarship) to encourage and motivate the learning spirit of candidates with high achievements to study here.

Also during this event, VKU awarded 07 scholarships to support students overcoming difficulties (worth 5 million VND/scholarship) and 01 scholarship to Nguyen Hue High School with a total value of up to 40 million VND to 7 high schools: Nguyen Hue, Nui Thanh, Cao Ba Quat (Quang Nam), Binh Son, Le Quy Don, Tran Ky Phong, Van Tuong (Quang Ngai).

Experiential activities

Training on the topic “Application of AI in designing teaching materials”

Immediately after the admissions consultation session, students directly participated in interesting experiential activities such as robocar competition, wacom drawing, as well as consulting booths of member universities of Danang University. Parallel with the consulting program, teachers of high schools also participated in a training session on “Application of AI in designing teaching materials” directly presented by Dr. Nguyen Huu Nhat Minh – Deputy Head of Department, Department of Science, Technology and International Cooperation. This training session provided high school teachers with the opportunity to update the latest teaching technologies, especially artificial intelligence (AI) – a tool which is increasingly having a significant influence on the education sector.

The 2025 Admissions and Career Orientation Festival at Nguyen Hue High School took place successfully, marking an important milestone in the coordination between universities and high schools in Quang Nam and Quang Ngai provinces. The event provided useful information, equipping students with a clearer and holistic overview of the training sector and majors so that they can make wise decisions for their future learning.
