Welcome message from the Rector on the 5th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communications Technology
Inheriting the great achievements and cherished traditional values accumulated over 22 years of history from its predecessor units, which laid a solid foundation for VKU’s remarkable development over the past five years, VKU takes pride in becoming a leading university in Vietnam. The university is oriented towards developing an advanced, internationally standardized model, steadfastly pursuing the educational philosophy of Humanity – Dedication – Liberation. This philosophy aims to educate and comprehensively develop learners in Morality – Intelligence – Physical health – Aesthetics, equipping them with lifelong learning abilities, adaptability to the rapid changes of the era, and readiness to dedicate and contribute to the happiness and progress of society.
VKU is not only the name representing the three words “Vietnam – Korea University,” reflecting its important role and responsibility in fostering and bridging the fellowship between Vietnam and Korea, but it is also a symbol of profound values expressed through the following principles:

Over the past five years, VKU has achieved remarkable progress in fostering strong internal solidarity, with a leadership team characterized by ethics, intelligence, and determination, alongside a dedicated and professional staff with strong expertise and a mindset of dedication. VKU has affirmed its position and reputation, becoming a prestigious university with the highest admission scores in the country. It boasts a student body of up to 7,000, cooperates with more than 200 strategic partners (notably KOICA, Hanwha Life, CFK, KMUTNB, Nix Education, …), and successfully proposed a $7.7 million ODA project sponsored by KOICA-Korea. The university is a pioneer in training and researching strategic global industries such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and fintech. VKU has also initiated and successfully organized many national and international scientific events, such as the CITA International Conference and the Central-Central Highlands Informatics Olympiad. Additionally, it is an important key member of prominent communities and associations in Southeast Asia and Vietnam, including AUF, ASEAN IVO, ACIR, and FISU. Many VKU alumni hold important positions in large domestic and international organizations and enterprises.
