During the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap acknowledged and highly appreciated the collaboration between VKU and Evvo Labs over the past time, highlighting the practical activities and programs that have contributed to enhancing VKU’s reputation, training quality, and position. This includes organizing the Cybersecurity Competition in 2023 and 2024, which attracted numerous students from universities nationwide, as well as conducting the “Leap Ambassadors” training program, which focuses on 16 essential skills for working in Singapore to help students develop into global citizens.

Mr. Wong Yee Leong, Director of Evvo Labs (Singapore), discusses enhancing collaboration.

In 2024, VKU continues to recruit 1,500 students across 16 majors and minors with high input quality, with the admission scores ranging from 24 to 27 points (based on academic records) and from 22 to 27 points (based on high school graduation exam scores). The number of students enrolled in classes under the bilingual English-Vietnamese global training program will increase to 8 classes, accounting for over 40% of the total incoming students. Therefore, VKU aims to strengthen collaboration with Evvo Labs and Singapore partners to expand training, enhance English language skills, and develop life skills based on UNESCO’s 10 core competencies to help students be ready for integration and growth in an international environment.

Through discussions, VKU and Evvo Labs will strengthen and expand their collaboration focusing on key areas in technology and information security, with four main contents including:

  • Maintain and develop the annual Cybersecurity Competition, aiming to become a national-level competition in cybersecurity. The competition will serve as a large platform for young talents, enhancing awareness and skills in the field of information security.
  • Expand the “Leap Ambassadors” training program to equip students with leadership skills, innovative thinking, and entrepreneurial mindset, thereby developing a high-quality workforce for the technology sector.
  • Establish a major forum on Information Security (planned for 2025) to connect and gather leading scholars and experts, opening up opportunities for extensive exchange and research in this field.
  • Expand the bilingual (English-Vietnamese) training scale for Information Technology engineers (following the successful bilingual training model for Japanese-Vietnamese engineers already implemented at VKU) to meet the demand for human resources in English-speaking markets.

The collaboration between VKU and Evvo Labs, along with partners from Singapore, marks a significant step forward in the field of training and in-depth research in information security. With a strategic vision, VKU not only creates an advanced learning environment but also prepares students for global integration, meeting the demand for high-quality human resources. This lays the foundation for even greater successes in the future, affirming VKU’s position in training human resources in the fields of information technology, communication, and the digital economy.
