The internship program lasted nearly three months and was divided into two phases: Online Phase (May 13 – June 21, 2025): Students familiarized themselves with international research and academic environments; Onsite Phase in Thailand (June 24 – August 31, 2025): Provided hands-on experience in a modern research setting and participation in high-impact science and technology projects such as real-time emotion analysis, smart traffic system optimization, and the application of machine learning and deep learning in social media data processing.
The participating students were outstanding representatives from majors such as Information Technology (English-Vietnamese bilingual program), Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence. They not only demonstrated excellent academic performance and strong English proficiency but also exhibited a genuine passion for research and a desire to reach out to the world.
This international internship program is a result of close collaboration between VKU and KMUTNB. KMUTNB generously covered all living expenses during the internship, including: A monthly stipend of 10,000 THB, accommodation, local transportation.
Additionally, VKU supported each student with USD 468.5 to cover round-trip airfare, insurance, visa fees, and personal expenses. Such comprehensive support not only eased financial concerns for the students but also reflects VKU’s sustainable strategy for the internationalization of education.
Beyond academic knowledge, the internship helped students develop essential soft skills, including teamwork, independent research, creative thinking, and adaptability in a multicultural environment. These experiences serve as valuable assets, broadening their perspectives and opening up future career development opportunities.
The successful completion of this internship at KMUTNB is a clear testament to the dedication and talent of VKU students, as well as the strong support from the university and international partners.
