On the morning of July 25, 2025, a delegation of students from Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU) – the University of Danang had the honor of participating in a tour of the Indian Navy Ship INS Delhi, currently docked at Tien Sa Port, Da Nang City. The program was organized by the Embassy of India in Vietnam in collaboration with the University of Danang, as part of the Indian Navy’s goodwill visit to Vietnam.

The program was joined by 14 VKU students, along with students from other member universities of the University of Danang. These students are currently studying majors related to technology and engineering and have career orientations and interests in fields such as electronics and telecommunications engineering, automation control, information security, data science, logistics, and digital supply chain management.

INS Delhi is one of the Indian Navy’s leading command ships, equipped with advanced technologies in defense, radar, navigation, fire control, and cybersecurity. During the tour, VKU students had the opportunity to learn in detail about the structure, features, and advanced systems integrated into the ship. They also listened to direct briefings from Indian Navy officers about the ship’s roles, missions, and international cooperation activities of their naval force.

This was an extremely meaningful hands-on learning opportunity, helping VKU students bridge theoretical knowledge with real-world technology applications. It ignited a passion for scientific research, expanded their global perspective, and brought them closer to modern technological trends in the fields of national defense and security. The activity not only provided valuable educational experiences but also contributed to strengthening cultural understanding, friendship, and connections between students of Vietnam and India through educational, defense, and technical exchange programs.

As part of its development strategy, VKU always emphasizes improving the quality of education linked with real-world practice, promoting international cooperation, and offering students rich and multidimensional experiences in a modern, dynamic, and globally integrated learning environment.

The visit concluded in an atmosphere of excitement and enthusiasm, leaving a strong impression on VKU students. Not only did they gain broader knowledge about modern warship technology, but they also developed a deeper insight into the role of science and technology in national defense and international collaboration. The trip opened up new opportunities for learning, exchange, and discovery, helping VKU students become more confident in their journey of integration and development, affirming the role of the young Vietnamese generation in innovation and global connectivity.
