On June 29-30, 2024, all staff and lecturers of the Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology, University of Da Nang (UD-VKU), gathered to participate in the team building program “VKU – Aspiration to reach far 2024”. The event saw an attendance of nearly 430 members of VKU, including all school staff, lecturers, and their families.

In the academic year 2023-2024, VKU, with a dynamic, creative spirit and united effort, has excellently completed many key tasks with the highest goals, such as: completing the organizational structure from the Board of Rectors to the Departments and Faculties; Enhancing, building, and developing 4 new training programs, raising the total number of training programs to 16 majors/specialties, particularly with the global Engineer/Bachelor programs taught bilingually in English-Vietnamese, Japanese-Vietnamese, and Korean-Vietnamese, offering the best support in scholarships, internships, and job opportunities for students; Implementing various media and enrollment promotion ways, targeting 1,500 admission quotas with an average entrance score of 24 points or higher in all admission methods, increasing the current number of students to nearly 6,000; Organizing training and teaching with innovative, dynamic methods, providing the best conditions for students to access practical experiences with businesses from the first and second years; Building and connecting a network with over 200 businesses and signing more than 10 MOUs with major international organizations, corporations, and universities like KMUTNB, NLT Group, KFIA, Kyunghee University,… Implementing many major international projects such as the ODA project of the Korean Government, the PHER project, World Bank, British Council,… to enhance VKU’s capacity and training quality. Additionally, VKU has hosted and cooperated with many organizations and businesses to create various academic competitions such as the Informatics Olympiad in the Central – Central Highlands, Robocar Competition, Best Web Design, Information Security, and more, with the participation of a large number of students nationwide. VKU students have achieved many impressive awards in academic and scientific research competitions at the international and national levels. The employment rate of graduates is very high, with an average salary ranging from 8-15 million VND/month. Notably, from a new educational brand, after nearly 5 years of establishment, construction, and development, VKU has emerged as a bright spot, recognized by learners and society, becoming the top choice for many students in the Central – Central Highlands region and nationwide in Information Technology, Communications, and Digital Economy training.

With outstanding achievements in recent times, following the guidelines of the Party Committee, the School Board of Rectors, the School’s Trade Union and its divisions coordinated to organize the team building program “VKU – Aspiration to reach far”. The program aimed to gather a large number of staff and lecturers, promote collective spiritual values, and create a space for interaction, strengthening solidarity and motivation for each member at VKU in the spirit of the educational philosophy “Humanity – Service – Liberalism”.

Team building activities

The team building program kicked off with men’s soccer matches, followed by competitive and interactive activities requiring strong unity, dexterity, and flexibility from the participants. Besides the team building activities, the Gala Dinner night “exploded” with lively melodies and game shows that warmly engaged all participants.

With the meticulous preparation of the organizing committee and the guidance of the School Board of Rectors, the VKU summer travel team building program “VKU – Aspiration to reach far” in 2024 brought a great motivation, fostering the spirit of unity among all the staff and lecturers to jointly build a stronger VKU.

Closing the memorable 2-day-1-night journey of the staff and lecturers, the team building program “VKU – Aspiration to reach far” was a great success, bringing much joy and beautiful memories to all members. It is easy to see how happy and proud each VKUer feels to be a part of the VKU family. Wishing all the staff and lecturers much health and happiness for VKU – Aspiring to Reach Far in the future.
