On the morning of February 25, 2026, the National Conference on studying, disseminating, and implementing Resolution No. 79-NQ/TW on the development of the state economy and Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW on the development of Vietnamese culture was organized by the Politburo. The conference was held in person at the National Assembly Building and connected online to 27,284 locations nationwide, with more than two million delegates in attendance. It reflected a strong sense of political determination and unity in putting these important resolutions into practice.

Overview of the Conference at VKU

At the Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Da Nang, attendees included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap – Member of the Party Committee of the University of Da Nang and Rector of VKU, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh – Secretary of VKU’s Party Committee, and Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho – Vice Rector, along with members of the university’s Party Committee, leaders of mass organizations, and heads and deputy heads of affiliated units.

Resolution No. 79-NQ/TW reaffirms the leading role of the state economy in the socialist-oriented market economy, emphasizing the need to enhance governance effectiveness and strengthen competitiveness in key sectors. Meanwhile, Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW underscores that culture serves as the spiritual foundation of society, an intrinsic driving force, and a source of national soft power, closely associated with building the value system of the Vietnamese people in the new stage of development.

For VKU, studying and thoroughly grasping these two resolutions carries profound practical significance in the context of the university’s ongoing strategic transformation toward a digital university model, innovation-driven development, and deeper international integration. Through this conference, its officials, Party members, and staff will further strengthen their political awareness, uphold a pioneering and exemplary spirit, and closely align their professional responsibilities with the mission of contributing to the development of the knowledge-based economy and the cultivation of a modern academic culture.

Based on the disseminated contents, the Party Committee and the university’s Board of Rectors will concretize them into concrete action programs, focusing on strengthening discipline and internal unity, restructuring the organizational apparatus toward a streamlined and efficient model, modernizing governance in association with university autonomy and comprehensive digital transformation, enhancing the quality of training and student affairs, creating breakthroughs in science and technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship, promoting internationalization, and building a happy educational environment imbued with VKU’s cultural identity and core values of dedication, cooperation, kindness, quality, integrity, and responsibility. Through these concerted efforts, the university will continue to affirm its pioneering role in digital technology education and research, making meaningful and practical contributions to the country’s sustainable development in the new era.
