VKU Works with KMUTNB Delegation (Thailand) to Expand Cooperation with Rayong Campus
Continuing a series of effective international cooperation activities with King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB), Thailand, at Prachinburi Campus and Bangkok Campus, on the afternoon of February 4, 2026, Vietnam–Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), The University of Danang, held a working session with a KMUTNB delegation to discuss and agree on new cooperation orientations, with a particular focus on expanding collaboration with Rayong Campus in the coming period.

Overview of the working session
Attending the meeting, on the VKU side, were Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho – Vice Rector of the University, along with representatives of functional departments and academic faculties. On the KMUTNB side were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pichet Sriyanyong – Vice President for International Affairs; Dr. Thitirat Thawornsujaritkul – Assistant to the President, in charge of KMUTNB Rayong Campus; together with representatives from relevant offices and the Faculty of Business Administration of KMUTNB.

In his remarks, Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho emphasized that the cooperation between VKU and KMUTNB has been increasingly substantive and effective in recent years, particularly through student exchange programs and academic and cultural exchanges at Prachinburi Campus and Bangkok Campus. Expanding cooperation with KMUTNB at Rayong Campus will not only diversify international learning and internship opportunities for VKU students, but also align with the University’s development orientation toward practice-oriented training, enhanced international integration, and stronger university–industry linkages. On this basis, VKU expressed its desire for both sides to continue close coordination to gradually concretize cooperation contents, especially in internship programs, student exchanges, scientific research, and faculty exchanges, ensuring sustainability and long-term effectiveness.

Representing KMUTNB, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pichet Sriyanyong highly appreciated VKU’s proactive approach, seriousness, and goodwill in cooperation over the past period. He noted that KMUTNB Rayong Campus has strong advantages in applied training, with close connections to enterprises and industrial zones in Eastern Thailand, making it highly suitable for implementing internship programs, student exchanges, and joint research activities. KMUTNB leadership affirmed the University’s readiness to create favorable conditions for VKU students and lecturers to participate in academic activities, research, and practical experiences at Rayong Campus in the near future.
During the working session, the two sides discussed and agreed on several key cooperation orientations, including: implementing internship programs and providing internship scholarship support for VKU students in the fields of business, management, digital marketing, and logistics; organizing short-term cultural and academic exchange programs for students; jointly organizing academic conferences for undergraduate students; and promoting joint research activities and faculty exchanges between the two universities. The meeting was held in an open and friendly atmosphere, reflecting the strong commitment of VKU and KMUTNB to further expanding and elevating their cooperative relationship. The move toward cooperation with Rayong Campus is expected to open up many opportunities for international learning, research, and practical experience for VKU students and lecturers, thereby contributing to improved training quality and reinforcing the University’s position within the regional and international cooperation network.
