Despite only participating in this prestigious competition for the fifth time since the establishment of the Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Danang, in 2020, VKU students have demonstrated exceptional talent. They have consistently achieved outstanding results, ranking among the top universities in the country and achieving medals in both the National Round and Asian Round of the ICPC. At this year’s National Round, the VKU student team, VKU.MaiLaAnhEm, comprising three third-year students-Le Tang Phu Quy, Vo Thanh Phong (students from the Global Class 22GIT), and Nguyen Tran Huy Vu (student of IT, Engineering program)-secured a spot in the Top 10 universities by winning the Bronze Medal at the ICPC 2024 – Vietnam National Contest.

Notably, in 2022, Le Tang Phu Quy and Nguyen Tran Huy Vu were also part of the VKU team that successfully won a Bronze Medal in the ICPC Asia Round (The 2022 ICPC Asia Ho Chi Minh City Regional Contest).

The ICPC (International Collegiate Programming Contest), established in 1970, is a globally renowned programming competition often called the “Olympics” for information technology students.

Results of the 2024 ICPC National Round

This year’s national round (ICPC 2024 – Vietnam National Contest), held on November 17, 2024, attracted 300 student teams from universities across Vietnam and 146 teams of outstanding students from high schools and specialized schools nationwide.
