Bachelor Program of Information Technology (Bilingual English – Vietnamese)

Training Bachelor of Information Technology (Vietnamese – English bilingual) according to international standards. Students participating in this program study specialized courses in two languages: English and Vietnamese. Students participating in this program study with the best experts and lecturers of the University, and at the same time study with experts from domestic and foreign enterprises, especially experts and lecturers from the world's leading universities participating in teaching this program. Students have many opportunities to intern and participate in international exchange activities at Universities that have cooperation with the University, opportunities for credit transfer studies under 2+2, 1+3 programs with international universities. After graduation, students have many opportunities to find scholarships to continue studying at international universities and are capable of working for multinational companies/corporations.

Graduation conditions: Students are considered for graduation recognition when meeting all the following conditions:

  • Accumulate enough modules and volume of the training program;
  • Cumulative grade point average of the whole course reaches 2.0 or higher;
  • Achieve the expected learning outcomes in English proficiency equivalent to B1 standard and Informatics according to the general regulations of the university;
  • Possess certificates of National Defense - Security Education and Physical Education.
  • Not being prosecuted for criminal liability or not being under discipline at the level of academic suspension.

III. Objectives and expected learning outcomes of the program

1. Objectives

Training Information Technology (IT) Bachelors with political quality, ethics, professional responsibility, and community service awareness; possessing professional practice knowledge, skills and research capacity corresponding to the training level; having good health, well meeting labor demands in the period of international integration and the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Vietnam - Korea University of Information and Communications Technology, The University of Danang trains IT bachelors who:

  • PO1. Have basic knowledge of natural sciences, social sciences, comprehensive, specialized and advanced knowledge in the IT field;
  • PO2. Have the ability to research, solve problems, and provide expert proposals and conclusions in the IT field;
  • PO3. Have independent working skills, teamwork skills, soft skills, ability to use foreign languages for learning, work, and career development;
  • PO4. Have good ethics to work and be useful to the community.

2. Expected learning outcomes

Students graduating from the Information Technology Bachelor training program have the capability to:

c. PLO3. Have critical, creative, and entrepreneurial thinking;

  • PI3.3. Build entrepreneurship projects.

d. PLO4. Achieve foreign language proficiency at level 4/6 of the Foreign Language Proficiency Framework for Vietnam;

  • PI4.2. Achieve Foreign Language standard equivalent to B2 standard. In case students possess a Toeic international English certificate, the minimum requirement is 600.

 PLO5. Apply knowledge of natural sciences, social sciences, and IT to solve basic problems;

  • PI5.1. Apply knowledge of natural sciences and IT to solve IT application problems.
  • PI5.2. Apply knowledge of social sciences into practical work.

f. PLO6. Design and develop basic IT products; 

  • PI6.1. Proficiently use some popular programming methods and languages. 
  • PI6.2. Analyze and design a complete system for small and medium software products. 
  • PI6.3. Build and administer a complete database for an application software.

For Software Engineering academic program orientation (Vietnamese - English bilingual):

  • Startup and research and develop information technology products.
