VKU Works with SotaTek to Promote Industry-Linked Training and Standardize International Competencies
On the afternoon of March 18, 2026, Vietnam–Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Danang, held a working session with SotaTek Company to discuss opportunities for collaboration in education and the development of high-quality technology human resources.

Overview of the meeting
Attending the meeting, on the side of SotaTek were Ms. Le Thi Mai Lien – Director of Partnerships, and Ms. Cao Thuy Hoang – Director of Learning and Development (L&D). Representing VKU were Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho – Vice Rector, along with leaders from relevant departments of both sides.

In his remarks, Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho expressed his pleasure in welcoming SotaTek following previous online discussions. He also provided an overview of VKU as a public university oriented toward training high-quality human resources in digital technology and the digital economy. The university maintains highly competitive admission standards nationwide and in the Central region, with many students achieving outstanding results in academics, scientific research, and domestic as well as international competitions. Notably, VKU has established a strong reputation for its industry-linked training model, exemplified by its bilingual Japanese–Vietnamese and Korean–Vietnamese programs.

Representing SotaTek, Ms. Le Thi Mai Lien expressed her appreciation for the warm welcome and shared that SotaTek Technology Joint Stock Company, established in 2015 under Sota Holdings, is a software development and IT consulting enterprise headquartered in Hanoi, with offices in Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City, and a global network spanning the United States, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and Dubai. The company operates across multiple domains, focusing on advanced technology solutions such as Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, Web/App development, and Odoo ERP implementation, while also providing comprehensive digital transformation consulting services for businesses. With a team of over 1,300 experienced professionals, SotaTek has successfully delivered hundreds of projects for international clients in key markets including North America, Europe, Australia, and Japan.
During the meeting, both sides discussed and agreed on several important areas of cooperation, including: jointly organizing short-term training programs; integrating the international COS PRO programming certification into IT courses; increasing the incorporation of real-world enterprise projects into teaching; and creating opportunities for students to participate in internships and gain practical experience at the company.
The meeting was conducted in an open, collaborative, and productive atmosphere, opening up new opportunities for development in training and industry engagement. Both sides agreed to proceed with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), contributing to improving training quality, narrowing the gap between academia and the labor market, and advancing the development of high-quality technology human resources in the near future.
