VKU works and discusses cooperation with Kaopiz Holdings Joint Stock Company
On the morning of January 10, 2025, Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), Danang University worked and discussed cooperation with Kaopiz Holdings Joint Stock Company (Kaopiz).
Overview of the meeting
Attending the ceremony, there were: Mr. Le Van Hoang – General Director; Mr. Nguyen Trong Giap – Director of Danang Branch; and Mr. Do Minh Tung – Deputy Director of Danang Branch, on behalf of Kaopiz; Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho – Vice Rector, along with leaders of Departments, Faculties, and Centers of the university, on behalf of VKU.

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho – Vice Rector voiced his great pleasure to welcome and discuss the cooperation with Kaopiz. He shared that VKU has always been clearly acknowledged its mission and responsibility in training and providing high-quality human resources, conducting scientific research, as well as transferring knowledge and technology, with the vision of becoming the leading university in the country and the aspiration to be a world-class university in the fields of training and research, operated basing on an advanced management model and a modern smart university. There are currently 16 training majors/fields at VKU, with excellent teaching staff and a current number of 7,000 students, aiming to increase to 8,000-10,000 students by 2030. VKU’s training program is in the fields of information technology, communications and digital economy with training majors in Information Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Information Security, Artificial Intelligence, Logistics, Digital Travel and Tourism Services, Digital Marketing and so on. These are the training majors that meet the human resource needs of the contemporary labor market. With the strength of being a specialized university in Information Technology, on a yearly basis, it enrolls 1,500 new students with an average admissions score of 24 points for 16 majors/fields in the terms of information technology, communications and digital economy. This is a source of high-quality information technology human resources to meet the current demand for the labor force. Currently, VKU has been cooperating with numerous Japanese and Korean partners to organize training courses in Information Technology with enhanced Japanese and Korean. Of these courses, the Information Technology Engineering class with enhanced Japanese in cooperation with NiX Education has achieved many outstanding results, and is an effective training cooperation model which can be replicated in the future. In addition, VKU is also implementing many activities, playgrounds, international academic-cultural exchange programs, practical projects, internships, business cooperation, as well as enhancing foreign language teaching, obviously manifested in the fact that 100% of its students’ graduation theses are written/presented in English.

On behalf of Kaopiz, Mr. Le Van Hoang – General Director thanked VKU for the warm and thoughtful welcome. He further emphasized that Kaopiz is one of the leading technology companies in Vietnam, established in 2014, headquartered in Hanoi, with branches in Japan and Da Nang (launched in 2023 with nearly 100 professionals). With a team of more than 500 technology engineers, Kaopiz provides software outsourcing, service products, AI solutions, AWS Cloud, Blockchain and many other application products in the Vietnamese market. Kaopiz desires to become the leading technology corporation in Vietnam, providing world-class services and solutions, bringing great values to customers, contributing to enhancing the country’s position and creating a prosperous life in both material and spiritual aspects for each of its employees.
Through the exchange and its searching, Kaopiz expressed its strong desire to connect and exchange cooperation and accompany VKU in its training activities and academic playgrounds in order to find potential human resources qualified to participate in developing projects and products in the Japanese market.
At the end of the meeting, the two sides agreed to exchange detailed plans to cooperate together to create good conditions for students to improve their skills, access the working environment of enterprises before and after graduation, contributing to training high-quality human resources for the domestic and international markets.
