The program is implemented based on academic cooperation between VKU and KMUTNB, aiming to provide students with opportunities to access an international working environment, enhance their professional competence and career skills, and improve their adaptability in the context of globalization. This initiative also contributes to promoting academic exchange, research, and innovation between the two higher education institutions within the ASEAN region.
Accordingly, four students – Khunanon Nalinthanakorn, Weeraphat Triphopsuwan, Nattakorn Malison, and Nurusam Maneeram – will engage in academic and research activities, as well as hands-on learning experiences, at the Faculty of Computer Science. Meanwhile, two students – Panu Wasanapitranont and Peerawish Monwan – will participate in academic activities and practical experiences at the Faculty of Computer Engineering and Electronics. Notably, in addition to financial support from the sending university (KMUTNB), VKU provides free accommodation, assigns faculty supervisors and student buddies, and offers a monthly living allowance for each student funded by VKU’s budget. This support not only alleviates financial burdens but also demonstrates VKU’s strong commitment to fostering students’ holistic development in an international environment.
The international internship program not only offers comprehensive development opportunities for KMUTNB students but also reinforces VKU’s role and reputation in attracting international students for study and research. At the same time, it reflects VKU’s strategic vision to become a reputable center for education, research, and international cooperation in the fields of information technology, data science, artificial intelligence, and innovation in the region.
Welcoming international students for internships further reaffirms VKU’s commitment to building a modern, integrated, and multicultural educational environment, thereby contributing to the development of high-quality workforce that meets the demands of the labor market in the digital era.
