On the morning of October 12, 2025, the Award Ceremony for the 2024–2025 Student Scientific Research Awards of the University of Danang and the 7th Young Innovation Festival 2025 were held by the University of Danang under the theme “A New Generation of Students with Breakthroughs in Science and Technology.” This is an annual, large-scale, and prestigious academic and creative activity organized by the University of Danang (UD), which holds even greater significance this year in the context of implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo.

At the Award Ceremony for the “University of Danang Student Scientific Research Awards” for the 2024–2025 academic year, VKU won 02 Third Prizes and 01 Consolation Prize, including:

Third Prize (Field: Engineering and Technical Sciences, Medicine and Pharmacy) with the project “Enhancing the efficiency of sentiment analysis for Vietnamese service reviews” by the group of authors Mai Nguyen Xuan Thao, Tran Pham Song Nguyen (21AD), Hoang Quoc Viet (21SE1) – Faculty of Computer Science, under the supervision of Dr. Dang Dai Tho.

Third Prize (Field: Economics, Social Sciences and Humanities) with the project “Application of the grey forecast model to estimate the cargo throughput at Vietnam seaports” by Ho Thi Ngoc Lien (22EL2) – Faculty of Digital Economy and E-commerce, under the supervision of Dr. Phan Van Thanh.

Consolation Prize (Field: Engineering and Technical Sciences, Medicine and Pharmacy) with the project “Applying deep learning techniques for detection and mitigation of DNS Abuse websites” by the group of authors Truong The Quoc Dung, Phung Anh Sang, Ton That Ron, Pham Van Nam (21GIT), Le Tang Phu Quy (22GIT) – Faculty of Computer Science, under the supervision of Dr. Nguyen Huu Nhat Minh.

In addition, at the 7th Young Innovation Festival 2025, three VKU student groups participated in the exhibition with various creative topics such as:

The product “MediPath – A Digital Assistant Supporting Doctors and Patients through Real Clinical Processes” by students Duong Cong Cuong, Hoang Bao Viet, Nguyen Duc Gia Phuc, Do Thi Ngoc Loan, Thai Ly Han, Phan Duc Huy. The product won Second Prize at the eSTI – Agentic AI Agents Hackathon 2025 and First Prize at the VietFuture Awards 2025.

The product “ShieldNet – Multi-layer AI System Supporting and Protecting Cyberspace” by students Truong The Quoc Dung, Le Tang Phu Quy, Nguyen Ngoc Xuan Quynh, Ton That Ron, Phung Anh Sang, Tran Viet Gia Bao. The product won First Prize at the VKU Student Scientific Research Conference 2024–2025, Consolation Prize at the UD Student Scientific Research Awards 2024–2025, Third Prize at the VietFuture Awards 2025, Second Prize at the Microsoft Imagine Cup Central Vietnam 2025, First Prize at AWRIS, Second Prize at the APISI Startup Competition, and reached the Top 10 of the Vietnam AI Star Competition.

The product “SmartMed Stock” by students Huynh Ngoc Khanh, Ngo Van Nhan, La Van Anh Chi, Nguyen Van Thien, Vo Thien from the Faculty of Computer Engineering and Electronics.

The Award Ceremony for the 2024–2025 UD Student Scientific Research Awards and the 2025 Young Innovation Festival concluded with many memorable highlights. It was not only a scientific playground but also a launching pad for innovative and entrepreneurial ideas. The projects of VKU students demonstrate not only their spirit of learning and research but also their high potential for practical application, contributing to solving real-world problems. The active participation and success of VKU student groups at this year’s Festival once again affirms the university’s pioneering role in education, encouraging creativity, and accompanying students on their journey of research and technological innovation.
