From June 9 to June 15, 2025, 08 outstanding students from Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), University of Danang proudly represented their university to attend the KMUTNB Leadership Camp 2025 held at King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB), Thailand. The program, themed “Technopreneur Skills for Global Innovators”, aims to develop a generation of students equipped with entrepreneurial mindset, innovative thinking to thrive in a globally connected world.

KMUTNB Leadership Camp 2025 is a large-scale annual activity, attracting the participation of hundreds of students from universities across Asia and beyond, including countries such as Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, South Africa, Taiwan, and more. This is an academic playground combined with practical experience, designed to equip students with essential skills to become technology-driven entrepreneurs in a global context.

Spanning a full week, the program features seminars, skills-building workshops and collaborative group activities centered around real-world projects. In particular, participating students have the opportunity to connect with young leaders, startup experts, international lecturers and peers from various countries who share similar aspirations.

The selection of eight VKU students to participate in the program reflects the recognition by international partners of the university’s training quality and the global competence of its students. Throughout the journey, VKU students demonstrated their initiative, creativity and ability to collaborate effectively in a multicultural environment. They were assigned to international student teams, where they collaborated to solve real-world problems related to startups and innovation. Additionally, they took part in soft skills training sessions focused on developing leadership mindset, cross-cultural communication, and presentation skills for international audiences.

Thanks to their thorough preparation in foreign languages, teamwork skills, and foundational knowledge in technology and global issues, VKU students quickly adapted, actively contributed to team projects, and left a strong impression on both international peers and the organizing committee.

By participating in the program, students not only gain academic knowledge and experience intellectual exchange but also have the valuable opportunity to expand their networks with young people from diverse cultural backgrounds. This program provides an ideal environment for students to build confidence, enhance adaptability, and broaden their global perspective. In addition, the VKU student delegation had the opportunity to visit famous cultural landmarks in Bangkok and gain deeper insights into the country and people of Thailand. These experiences enriched students’ knowledge and enhanced their awareness of the vital role of international exchange in the context of globalization.

Sending students to international summer camps is one of the key activities in VKU’s internationalization strategy. This marks an important step in enabling VKU students to access international training programs, develop global skills and prepare a solid foundation for their future careers. International exchange programs like KMUTNB Leadership Camp not only help students improve their personal capacity but also play an important role in building the brand and enhancing the position of VKU in the region and the world. This trip serves not only as a memorable milestone for the participating students but also as a testament to VKU’s high-quality training and its commitment to fostering students’ deep integration into the international academic and business communities.
