On the afternoon of June 6, 2025, in a solemn and warm atmosphere at the campus of Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), Danang university held the 2025 graduation ceremony for nearly 300 students of the 2020-2025 course. This is a sacred milestone, affirming the journey of efforts and maturity of the new generation of digital citizens, new Engineers, and VKU Bachelors who are ready to integrate and assert themselves in the digital age.

Overview of the 2025 Graduation Ceremony

Attending the ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh Toan – Vice President of Danang university, Representatives of the Leaders of member universities within Danang university; international professors and experts; and Representatives of strategic partner enterprises. On behalf of VKU, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap – Rector of the university, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh – Chairman of the university council, Vice Rectors including Dr. Tran The Son and Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho, Leaders of Departments, Faculties, Centers, and affiliated units, along with all VKU staff, lecturers, students, and more than 800 parents.

In his opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap – Rector of the university expressed his joy and pride as well as sent his congratulations to nearly 300 students – new Engineers/Bachelors who have completed their studies excellently and graduated in 2025. Thereby, he highly appreciated the efforts, spirit of overcoming difficulties and the bravery of the digital citizen generation that VKU students have shown throughout the period of 4-5 years studying at the university. He also highlighted the special journey of the classes starting in 2020 – the first batch of students enrolled at the time VKU was newly established. Confronting the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, the students have demonstrated their mettle and flexibility when starting their university journey in the context of online learning, social distancing, and lack of real-life interaction. However, it is the aforementioned adversity and barriers that nurtured those students’ spirit and resilience to overcome difficulties, trained them how to assert themselves, and contributed significantly to creating proud marks in the development process of the university. After only a few years of its establishment, Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology has thrived to become the leading public university in the country, with the highest entrance admission score in the fields of information technology and digital economy.

Nguyen Quynh Nhat Phuong – New Bachelor and Valedictorian of IT is giving her speech

Representing nearly 300 new Engineers/Bachelors, Nguyen Quynh Nhat Phuong – Valedictorian of IT said with sincerity and emotion: “From my recollection, 2020 was a special starting point when the Covid pandemic was threatening the whole world in 2020, and VKU was like a young tree just sprouting. However, it was the belief in the educational philosophy of “Humanity – Dedication – Liberation” that led those students of VKU to overcome the days of social distancing, or the first online lectures full of confusion. I would like to send my deep gratitude to parents and family who have always been my support, to my dedicated lecturers, to VKU with its persistent and sacrificial dedication devoted to the students. Each word of gratitude conveys a passion: to continue to spread the VKU’s spirit with responsibility, aspiration, humanity, and distinct features.

At the 2025 graduation ceremony, the university awarded diplomas to 296 students of the 2020-2025 academic year. Of those, two students named Nguyen Quynh Nhat Phuong (class 20GIT) – Valedictorian of Information Technology and Tran Van Vu (class 20CE) – Valedictorian of Computer Engineering Technology were honored and awarded certificates of merit by the Director of Danang university; 10 students who graduated with Excellent rank and 75 students with Very Good rank in the entire course were awarded certificates of merit by the university’s Rector. Notably, 100% of VKU students completed their graduation thesis/papers entirely in English. A noteworthy point is that the quantity of students employed in the fields/majors they have been trained within 6 months after graduation accounts for more than 90%, with a common starting salary of 8-15 million VND per month. A lot of students have even been “ordered” and recruited by businesses right from the second year. VKU’s undergraduates and graduates have been recruited by large technology corporations such as FPT Software, NAPA Global, Enclave, BAP Software, NashTech, Enouvo, Madison Technologies, VSEC, etc., which is convincing evidence, affirming that VKU is the most prestigious and high-quality university in the Central region and the whole country in training information technology, communications, and digital economy. At the same time, it further reinforces the confidence of parents and potential candidates in choosing to study at VKU.

The 2025 graduation ceremony was closed with pride, honor, and gratitude. From here, the new VKU’s Engineers and Bachelors are now ready to carry with them knowledge, skills, spirit of service and strong will to reach new heights in life and career. The event is not only a moment to recognize and honor the achievements of students, but also once again affirms the role and pioneering position of VKU in the Vietnamese higher education system. It is a young, modern, dynamic public university, with synchronous investment in facilities and is constantly innovating educational methods following the direction of liberalization and combining practical and global integration.

VKU is not only an educational institution to train engineers and bachelors, but also a cradle to nurture aspirations, creative thinking, and global citizenship for the young generation. During the 5 years of its establishment and development, VKU has affirmed its role as a training center and a provider of high-quality digital human resources for the Central Highlands and the whole country, while creating a prestigious academic mark in the Southeast Asian region.

The future is wide open, and generations of VKU’s students, with a solid knowledge foundation, self-reliance, and enthusiasm, will certainly continue to make new bright and meaningful contributions in the journey of serving the community, mastering technology, and leading the digital age. VKU will always be a mental base, a place where generations of students are proud to return, and which initiates far-reaching dreams and journeys for students to become responsible, confident and different global citizens.
