VKU Signs MoU with L.LINE, South Korea, to Enhance Students’ Competence as Software Education Instructors in Computer Engineering, Electronics, and IT Fields

On the afternoon of November 28, 2024, Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Danang, held a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony with L.LINE, South Korea. The collaboration aims to enhance the competence of VKU students in the roles of software education instructors in the fields of computer engineering, electronics, and information technology, promoting a culture of software education in Vietnam.

Overview of the Signing Ceremony

Attending the signing ceremony on behalf of L.LINE were Mr. Kim Jin Hyoung (CEO), Ms. Jeong Hye Liim (Head of Business Department), Ms. Jung Yeong Ah (Head of Coding Training Department), Mr. Hwang Sung Ho (Head of Maker Training Department), and Ms. Kim Ji Nyun (Project Manager). Representing the ODA Project Management Consultancy (PMC) Office was Mr. Lee Jong Won (Local Manager). From VKU, Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho (Vice Rector) attended along with leaders from various university departments and over 250 students.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho expressed his delight and excitement about the collaboration between VKU and L.LINE. He emphasized that this partnership is a significant milestone that creates opportunities for VKU students in computer engineering, electronics, and IT to enhance their competencies and apply their skills in a practical learning environment.

VKU, a public university under the University of Danang, was established in 2020 through the merger of institutions with over 20 years of history. Currently, VKU has nearly 7,000 students enrolled in fields related to IT, communication, and digital economics. The university boasts an average admission score of 24 points across 16 programs, with its 2024 semiconductor design engineering program reaching a top-tier entry score of 27 points.

With its mission to be a leading public university supplying high-quality human resources for IT, communication, and digital economics, VKU has successfully trained talent in strategic fields such as semiconductor design, artificial intelligence, and logistics. In 2024, VKU launched its Fintech program, focusing on digital technology for financial sectors (TechFin). The university emphasizes English, Japanese, and Korean proficiency, adaptability to change, and lifelong learning skills. VKU has partnered with over 200 domestic and international entities, continually expanding collaborations to strengthen education, research, and innovation.

On behalf of L.LINE, Mr. Kim Jin Hyoung expressed gratitude to VKU for supporting to organize the Arduino-based autonomous robot training program held over the past two days. He was impressed by VKU students’ excellence and reaffirmed L.LINE’s commitment to collaboration with VKU, aiming to implement more projects that prepare VKU graduates for both local and global markets.

VKU and L.LINE Representatives Sign Memorandum of Understanding

Under this MoU, VKU and L.LINE will collaborate on several key areas in the coming period, including:

  •         Developing training programs and enhancing the competence of software education instructors in Vietnam.
  •         Organizing events to promote a culture of learning and creativity in software development.
  •         Strengthening academic and cultural exchanges between Vietnamese and Korean students.
  •         Launching joint programs to foster mutual development and consolidate the partnership.

Leaders of VKU and L.LINE, South Korea, Present Certificates to 20 Outstanding Students Participating in the Autonomous Robot Training Program Based on Arduino Programming

After the signing ceremony, representatives from VKU and L.LINE awarded certificates to 20 students who excelled in the Arduino-based autonomous robot training program held on November 27–28, 2024.

The collaboration between VKU and L.LINE demonstrates a shared commitment to advancing education and creating practical value for VKU students while contributing to high-quality software education in Vietnam.
