On August 7, 2023, Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Da Nang in collaboration with the Center for Education Accreditation – Vietnam National University, Hanoi organized a preliminary survey to assess the quality of university-level training programs.

Attending the meeting, on the side of the Center for Education Accreditation – Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Dr. Ta Thi Thu Hien – Director, Prof. Ph.D. Banh Tien Long – Head of the external assessment team and supervisor team members. On the VKU, there was Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Huynh Cong Phap – Rector, Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Nguyen Thanh Binh – University Council Chairman, Dr. Nguyen The Son – Vice Rector with Departments, Faculties, Centers’ leaders and Self-Assessment Council members.

Speaking at the survey session, on behalf of the University leaders and the Self-Assessment Council, Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Huynh Cong Phap – Rector introduced the Self-Assessment Council members, the process and results of the Universitys training programs self-assessment. Assoc. Prof. Ph.D. Huynh Cong Phap commits to supplement documents, proofs and preparing the best conditions for the official survey of the external assessment team at the University in the near future.

At the meeting, Dr. Ta Thi Thu Hien introduced the survey’s objectives and contents. With the trust and companionship from the University, the external assessment team members are committed to well implement the education quality assessment survey. Thereby, recognizing and appreciating the University’s efforts in ensuring and accrediting the educational quality, demonstrating the determination of the leadership team, the role and accountability to stakeholders and society in ensuring and improving the quality of the Universitys curriculum.

At the review session, the external assessment team reported preliminary inspection results of self-assessment dossiers and proofs supporting to be supplemented; the number and composition of interview subjects; observed and inspected; the official survey schedule, preparation for the survey, the facility conditions arranged at VKU to serve the official survey. The parties discussed and came to an agreement on the official survey contents and program taking place from August 12 to August 15, 20223.
