At the conference, delegates listened to a briefing on the key outcomes of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam—a particularly significant political event held at a time when Vietnam is entering a new stage of development with both opportunities and challenges. The 14th Congress discussed, reviewed, and reached a high level of consensus on important documents, thereby clearly defining the vision, objectives, and strategic orientations for national development in the coming period.

The briefing emphasized the core outcomes of the 14th Congress, reaffirming the commitment to rapid and sustainable development, with science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation identified as the main drivers of growth. The Congress also highlighted the need to further improve development institutions, build an independent and self-reliant economy closely linked with deep international integration, and ensure harmonious development among economic, cultural, social, and environmental dimensions.

Regarding strategic goals, the 14th Congress set out major orientations to strive for Vietnam to become a developing country with modern industry and upper-middle income by 2030, and toward a developed, high-income country by 2045, characterized by a democratic, equitable, and civilized society, with continuously improving living standards for the people.

The Congress particularly stressed the importance of Party building and rectification, strengthening discipline and order, preventing and combating corruption and wastefulness, and promoting the exemplary role of officials and Party members, especially leaders. In addition, strategic breakthroughs were reaffirmed, including improving institutions and implementation effectiveness; developing high-quality human resources associated with science and technology; and investing in a synchronous and modern infrastructure system, especially digital infrastructure.

For VKU, the conference provided an important opportunity for officials and Party members to promptly grasp the spirit and core contents of the 14th National Congress, thereby applying them in practical work, teaching, scientific research, and the training of high-quality human resources in information and communication technology, meeting the requirements of national development in the new era.
