The first working session of the visit took place on the afternoon of February 17, 2025. The VKU delegation was warmly welcomed by KMUTNB’s leadership, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pichet Sriyanyong – Vice President for International Relations, Assoc. In his remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap expressed his sincere gratitude to KMUTNB’s leadership, staff, faculty, and students for their kindness, strong cooperation, and steadfast commitment to VKU. Thanks to this partnership, both institutions have achieved meaningful and beneficial outcomes for faculty and students alike. He recalled his first meeting with KMUTNB’s leadership during his visit to Bangkok for the InfoCom event in May 2023, where the foundation for collaboration was established. In just over a year, the partnership has yielded impressive results, including 75 VKU students receiving sponsorships for exchange and internship programs at KMUTNB, with six of them participating in two-month paid internships. Additionally, 25 VKU lecturers have traveled to Thailand for academic exchange programs. Conversely, VKU has also welcomed dozens of KMUTNB students and lecturers for internships and exchanges. These achievements have laid a solid foundation for deeper and broader cooperation in the future. During the meeting, both sides discussed key areas of collaboration, particularly in faculty exchange programs aimed at enhancing training quality, especially in global and international programs. Both universities agreed to develop mechanisms to facilitate faculty exchanges for teaching and research.
