VKU Launches 3+1 Transfer Program with the University of Huddersfield, UK
In order to provide high-quality educational opportunities for students to develop comprehensive skills and knowledge in an international environment, Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Danang, has collaborated with the University of Huddersfield, UK, to launch the 3+1 transfer program. This is a great opportunity for VKU students to experience a top-tier educational environment in the UK.
The 3+1 program allows students to complete their studies in Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, and Computer Engineering at VKU in the first three years and then transfer to the University of Huddersfield in the final year with a corresponding Top-up course in Information Technology and Applied Informatics. This model helps students save on tuition fees compared to studying abroad full-time while still receiving a degree from the University of Huddersfield, which is equivalent to a three-year degree in the UK.
Additionally, during their time at Huddersfield, students can retain their academic results from VKU if necessary. After one year at Huddersfield, they can return to VKU to complete their program and earn an additional degree from VKU (some courses taken at Huddersfield may be considered and recognized by VKU to complete the VKU program).
Participating in the 3+1 program, VKU students will:
- Access a learning environment with advanced teaching methods and experienced faculty.
- Experience a multicultural environment, expanding their international network and understanding of different cultures.
- Receive support to develop comprehensive soft skills, teamwork abilities, and adaptability in an international setting.
- Earn a globally recognized degree from the University of Huddersfield, opening up attractive job opportunities after graduation.
- Have the option to pursue a Master’s degree at Huddersfield with an additional year of study.
Students who complete three years at VKU with a GPA of 7.0/10 and an IELTS score of 6.0 (with no skill below 5.5) can transfer to the final year at the University of Huddersfield and receive a scholarship ranging from £3,000 to £4,000 (for GPA levels of 7.0/10 – 7.99/10 and 8.0/10 or higher, respectively).
With the motto “Learner-centered” VKU is committed to pursuing the educational philosophy of “Humanity – Dedication – Liberalization,” nurturing core values of “Quality – Prestige – Professionalism,” and aims to build VKU into a prestigious institution while promoting the internationalization of its activities in education, research, and technology transfer in IT and related fields following an advanced higher education model. The 3+1 transfer program between VKU and the University of Huddersfield, UK will be a wonderful opportunity for students who wish to experience an international education environment at a reasonable cost. This is a significant step that helps students not only master professional knowledge but also develop comprehensive skills, well-preparing them for their future careers.
The 3+1 program is expected to launch its first intake of students in early September 2024 for students from VKU. Seize this opportunity to open the door to knowledge and success on your academic and career path!
