On the morning of February 15, 2025, Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU), the University of Danang held a Conference to summarize enrollment work in 2024 and deploy enrollment work in 2025.

Overview of the Conference

Attending the Conference, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap – Party Committee Secretary, Rector of the University, Dr. Tran The Son – Vice Rector, Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho – Vice Rector along with leaders of departments, faculties, centers and more than 200 staff and lecturers of the whole university.

Speaking at the Conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap – Rector of the University happily shared the achievements in 2024, marking a remarkable development step of VKU after 5 years of establishment, with outstanding achievements, especially in enrollment: Achieving 100% of the target with 1,500 quotas for 16 majors/specializations, with the admission score maintained for 3 consecutive years at an average of 23-24 points, among the top universities in the Central – Central Highlands region and the whole country. In particular, the number of candidates admitted directly to the university increased very rapidly with more than 400 students, accounting for nearly 30% of the total 1,521 students enrolled, bringing the total student population of the university to nearly 7,000 students.

These results are a testament to the efforts, perseverance and determination of the leadership, together with all the staff, lecturers and students of the university, contributing to helping VKU affirm the position and role of the new university in the process of establishment and development over the past 5 years, affirming the leading prestigious university in the country, nurturing the aspiration to reach international standards, building VKU into a prestigious, dream and ideal university for students in the Central – Central Highlands region and the whole country.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap shared: “The year 2025 marks the development of the university in a new period, with many difficulties, challenges, and many key tasks, focusing on improving overall quality, strongly digitalizing all activities and building a happy university”. Therefore, the staff, lecturers and students of the whole university are determined to unite and work together to successfully carry out many important tasks with a very high spirit and responsibility, to be worthy of the expectations of society.

Following the success of the 2024 enrollment season, from 2025, there will be many changes in the enrollment regulations. However, VKU will continue to maintain the enrollment quota of 1,500 for 19 majors/specializations (including 4 new majors/specializations of Financial Technology, Game Technology, Data Analysis and Automotive Software Engineering Technology) with 5 admission methods including: direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, separate admission according to the university’s regulations, admission based on VNU-HCM’s GPA, admission based on academic results and admission based on high school graduation exam scores. At the same time, VKU continues to maintain enrollment policies and financial support for students with the most preferential tuition fees currently estimated at 8 million VND – 9 million VND/semester and many other financial support policies for candidates who meet the prescribed conditions and standards.

Entering the 2025 enrollment season, VKU continues to implement direct and online consulting activities on many social networking platforms with a frequency of 24/7. This helps candidates and parents easily access information, ask questions and receive timely advice.
